Reviews for Cubans Be Like Restaurant in Fort Myers, FL
Love the interior and overall decor of this place. Foodwise - nice presentation for the dishes except pizza was served on a... paper plate atop a "real" dinner plate. I am not a pizza fan but this cheese pizza blew me away. The dough was unbelievablylight and fluffy, cooked through perfectly and cheese had the right amount of caramelization. Server Lauren did amazing job ofmaking us feel welcome. With a 4 year old toddler and a 1 year old infant we were not easily content lol. She recognized ourdiet preference (no pork) and accommodated along the way, e.g., served fish croquette instead of the regular menu item porkcroquette. Advised us that the black beans had pork bits in them. Big fan of the croquettes and fried yucca. The ribeye I hadwas not seasoned well, but the yellow rice, chimichuri and fries made up for it. Will return for more soon. Read more
Okay I am a big consumer of Spanish cuisine. I have tried many taquerias as well as Honduran,Peruvian,Guatemalan, and well you... get the picture. I have eaten at a lot of different style of places all over the USA. Arizona,New Jersey,Tennessee,Louisiana andFlorida are among some of the states I tried good Spanish food. I?ve eaten in Spanish homes across America and learned theflavors of some really defined dishes. Cuban food ever since I?ve come to Florida has been fairly new to me. I?ve had it a fewtimes in New Jersey In the area we call West New York. But since I have been here Florida I have found a few gems. This place isdefinitely one of them. I tried a Cuban pizza for the first time and let me tell you omg. This was a super nice blend of cheeseand the little bits of chorizo placed on top danced across my taste buds and proved to me pizza has no end! The most excitingpart wast the crust. It was soft airy and folded so easily. Once cooled a bit to eat the cheese stuck together forming to mewhat was like a fresh soft garlic bread with a flavor I?ve never come across before. The saltiness from the cheese/chorizo andthe soft baked bread like texture of the crust was so complimentary to one another I wish there was more to consume! Next Iordered a Cuban Pan Bread pulled pork sandwich with fried onions. Man this pork packed some really really deep citrus flavoringwith a hint of black pepper that was not over powering. The fried caramelized onion put in its own song to the flavor that madeit even more desirable to try again and again. Cuban bread in its own right is great. When it?s filled with this pork and toppedoff with the onion and other ingredients you can choose to put on it man does it take you away till the last bite! A must haveif your a lover of Cuban restaurants. Head on down to the friendly staffed setting in fort Myers. Great music small bar and adecent amount of table to handle you and your guest. Best part is the atmosphere. Come on by. Whe Read more
The food was excellent our first visit. Our second visit not so much. For the prices they're asking, it needs to be excellent... every time. The service was good both times. Read more

Wow! Soo good! Between the presentation and the flavor that this plate packs I was not disappointed at all. Everything came out... very fresh. I got the pork chunks, arroz Moro and the yucca. My only critique is maybe add honey and onion to the yucca. Otherthen that everything is extremely flavorful and you will NOT be disappointed! DELICIOUS ?????????? Read more

The restaurant has both in and outside seating and looks to dolive music in the evenings. Food was awesome! We started with the fried cheese which we loved. I went with the ChickenMilanesa (one of my favs) with moro and maduro. The chicken was fried perfectly so much crunch! It was satisfying. Ended with atraditional flan and it matched perfect. I am going to be a repeat customer as there menu had many of my favorite platesavailable. Read more
Amazing staff, environment (vibe) and food. There?s outside seating, good music, and more. We ate 2 vacas fritas, 1 capuccino... (so good) and 1 virgin piña colada (delicious!!).
