Today was my first time going to Hobo's and it was such a pleasant experience. The menu had so many options idk what to choose.... I ended up choosing the Wanderer burger with fries. My order came out so fast that it caught me off guard. The burger is HUGEI couldn't eat it all in 1 sitting lol. And the fries are fresh cut and simply amazing. Tasted like my momma made em. If I had stopped at the appetizers I would have rated this restaurant a 5 because the service was wonderful and the staff was... amazing. The environment was unique and fun. I shared the stuffed tator tots (Box Car?)and fried green tomatos appetizers withfriends. Very good. The meals ... I had a burger (Mack mack?). The burger couldn't have been cooked more perfect. But it wasthick with a thick pasty chili, a tiny bit of pretty bland slaw and mustard. A friend had chicken waffle. She ate half of it. Abig, high quality piece of chicken. Lovely large waffle. Very pretty but not much taste. Another friend had the tacos and theyweren't impressive. The food was very well prepared and beautifully presented, just not real tasty. But, that could have beenwhat we ordered. It is certainly worth a trip and try. The prices were fair as well. It was a rainy evening so the photos are abit dreary. Lovely experience here, their menu looks great, only few places we get complete satisfaction of having complete food experience,... since when we order dishes some of them will be hit or miss, but here all their dishes we tried tasted too good, living at fortmill for 5 years this was our first visit and we are already waiting for next visit, I also tried their house wine Cabernet andlike it too, this place is in great location having indoor and outdoor seating options, we went on the Canon firing event atdowntown July 2nd and was lucky to get our spots with the crowd gathering. Would highly recommend this place to friends andfamily for great food and experience. We tried their fish bites, buffalo shrimp, chicken wings with Cajun, lime and pepper dryrub, blackened salmon, kids chicken and fries, chicken taco. Read more
I have had positive experiences here before but this last time was terrible. Waitstaff wasn't attentive, and the wait for food... was ridiculous. It took almost an hour to get the food we ordered. My burger was missing ingredients. My son's grilledcheese, as you can see in the picture, looks more like toast with cheese melted then left to cool. My family and I won't bedining there again. A long wait for food with young kids is difficult, then when the food comes and it's inedible it makes fora bad time. Read more
Their grilled cheese burger is so good! It?s super filling (I had to finish the 2nd half the next day) this place also has... awesome alcoholic milkshakes! I love taking my Florida friends out to this place! Plus they have an outdoor area you can bringyour dogs Read more
Was really looking forward to eating here again. Service was absolutely horrible this time. Took 40 minutes for waitstaff to... take our order and another 30 minutes for food to come out. The food was great. But had to track down waitstaff twice. Was toldthey had a large party come in (15 minutes after we were seated). Waitress barely acknowledged us. And when done just took ourplates away never asking us if we wanted to box leftovers. Never saw her again. No one ever even asked if we needed refills ofdrinks as we waited. This is the best place to eat! It?s where my husband and I have the best date nights. We share the fried green tomatoes, steak... salad and the garlic Parmesan wings. Today I had the salad made by Drew and our sweet waitress was Heather! Beautiful day to eatoutside and the food was amazing!! Can?t say enough about the pickled red onions.
