I state that I am an Italian who has moved to the United States for 2 years, the place was recommended to me, very nice, low... lights, background music, nice place ... we opt for a platter of mixed cold cuts and octopus with potatoes, rocket and cherrytomatoes... so far so good... my husband and I are very happy, then we order spaghetti with clams and polenta... the linguinacompletely glued and floating in white wine... inedible, the polenta cooked or diluted perhaps with butter, it looked like adessert... so if you decide to come and eat in this place as an Italian who has a father who is a chef, I strongly adviseagainst these two dishes?!!!! the really good and professional guy who followed us promptly offered to make the linguine againbut I didn't want to. In any case, good service! Read more

Food was overpriced for the quality, but the environment was excellent. Desert was great, the pasta looked better than it... tasted. Service was good to start but after we finished the pasta we waited 40 min before our server asked if we wanted desert. Read more

Absolutely perfect. We arrived at our reservation time and were immediately sat. Meatball trio, veal parmigiana, and spinach... lasagna over pink sauce were all delicious and we would enjoy them again. Pistachio cheesecake was a delicious closing. Service was excellent. Metered parking right outside but the closest spots were full, however it was a Saturday night. Read more

This was my first time at Scolapasta but certainly not my last. After several recommendations from friends, I assembled a group... of friends to give it a try ? and a wonderful Italian treasure it was. Upon entering the place, you face the bar; the friendlybartender welcomes you by assuring you that someone will come by shortly. Our Server Adrian (not ?Yo Adrian?) presented themenus, took our drinks order, came back with drinks, and began to verbally enumerate a long bunch of item specials that were noton the menu? he highly emphasized that all pastas are homemade in the house, and all veggies are fresh (not canned or frozen). And he remarkably explained how each of those dishes were prepared. The food was exceptional, portions were ample generous, andexpect to spend about $30-35/person not including drinks, tax, and gratuity. Read more

Superb Italian restaurant, low key but busy. Fresh pasta along with daily specials gives you an opportunity to experience what... their talented kitchen can create. Hard to recommend any one thing but highly recommend you visit, take friends, and find outfor yourselves. Service is very good but keep in mind Scolapasta isn't a huge restaurant and they work in tight spaces so it maytake more time for large parties to get served. There's outdoor seating out front on the sidewalk or more in the parkinglot. Good wine list too. Read more

So this is a bit of a tricky review. The operations are odd. A lot of informal rules. The hostess was pretty much the business... prevention department and not helpful. No we're full or no you need to wait 20 minutes, both would have been acceptable, butasking for a name but not writing it on the wait list wasn't a warm and fuzzy. The waitstaff takes the entire order at once notin stages (drinks, apps, main, dessert) which is odd but honestly totally fine. Our waiter was overworked but was actuallygreat. The food was exceptional. Dessert was ok, good wine list. So if you're patient and can be persistent you'll really enjoyyourself. Don't let the small speed bumps stop you from going it's totally worth it.. Read more

Fantastic food.. We recommend the cavatelli bolognese, prosciutto pizza, lasagna, banana bread dessert and the peanut butter... cannolo. The service was w slow, but you can?t blame the restaurant. Staff shortages are everywhere. Read more
