A special guess from NC was visiting for the week. Wanted to treat her to a nice evening by the beach. Called ahead and asked if... we needed reservations and if we can get a table with a view. Was told NO reservations required and there's a lots of outsideseating. What they failed to mention was the hotel is under renovations and the view was blocked off by a hideous plastic likeshield. There was no table with a view. We were so disappointed. The service was poor. Our server was friendly but never cameback to the table to asked if we needed anything or to see if we were satisfied. The ceviche was delicious but tried to get ourserver's attention to no avail ti bring me a spoon. The drinks were terrible.....glass filled with ice so you're really payingfor a sip or 2 of the drink. We are regulars to the W as guests and Steak 954 which below I gave a raving review. So, you couldimagine my disappointment and embarrassment for us special guest visiting Florida for the first time. The guacamole wastasteless and the chips were served warm but felt like it was old. This is a great spot to grab a bite after hitting the beach or pool. I loved the vampiro taco. The nachos and enchiladas were... also quite good. The patio is shaded for the most part with a nice breeze and tables are pretty well spaced out which isappreciated. You can grab a reservation on open table. Read more
The service was fantastic. The chicken tacos were the best thing I ate all weekend while visiting Fort Lauderdale. The nachos... were great too. Not what I pictured in my head, but tasted good. Good middle of the road Mexican fare. The mucho nachos were excellent and served on a pizza tray which was a great presentation.... They tasted excellent. We also had two orders of tacos, chicken and steak. The steak left a lot to be desired but the chickenwere wonderful. Overall service was OK, food was good, but nothing remarkable. Pricing was on par with other places but justdidn’t really deliver on value or experience to be somewhere I would go back. Read more
