This place is abysmal! This is the most embarrassingly inauthentic Mexican food I have ever had the displeasure of trying. So... bad that it was offensive. No me gusta just doesn't cover it. Velveta cheese on a cheese crisp? Are you kidding me? Their salsatastes like it was made by Chef Boyardee. Taco Bell is more authentic than this trash. Read more

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Seriously, this place is AWFUL. We were waiting for music to start at New Belgium and they... were closed to clear all the day crowd out before letting people in for the show. We walked toward old Town and decided tocheck out one of the oldest restaurants in Fort Collins. We knew we'd made a mistake as soon as the chips and "salsa" hit thetable, but we'd already ordered drinks and an appetizer. The salsa tasted like canned tomato sauce with some Cayenne pepperadded to it. We had already ordered the small pitcher of margaritas and the "Nachismos" or we'd have been out of there beforethe server came back to the table. It took somewhere near 20 minutes to get our margaritas. They were ok at best, butdefinitely not homemade. The Nachos took at least an additional 10-15 minutes and they were....disappointing to say theleast. For $11.75 and around a half hour wait, we got a very small plate of chips with liquid cheese (I'm pretty sure it wasactual cheese whiz), and a few plops of canned refried beans with a little lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guac. Everything onthis plate was spooned on with no additional reheating, so why did it take so long? It may have had $3 worth of ingredients onit, so, why was it almost $12? At the end of the day, I believe this place serves the worst "mexican" food I've had outside ofa high school cafeteria or shopping mall food court, and if I'd been in a less excited mood (we were still headed to New Belgiumfor a night of great music), I'd probably have made some pretty serious complaints to the owner. Been eating the best green chile plate HERE since 1988. If I still lived here, this would be my every weekend visit.

This is the most foul mexican food I have ever consumed. The smell the the cheese that they coat the entire dish in is vomit... inducing. The chicken in the enchilada tasted like 2 day old thanksgiving turkey. The beans had the same consistency as playdoh. The salsa was basically watery ketchup. I couldn?t wait to pay and get away from the stench that the food had. Please saveyourself the hardship of having to endure this rancid food and go anywhere else. Read more

I love this place. Its a dive- no question about it. But the food is great, the service is good, and the price is right. Best... green chile around (even though it's red) and fantastic stuffed sopapillas. Lots of fancier mexican restaurants, but I keepfind myself going here. Read more
