I'm a truck driver. I made a delivery here and I must say this was the very best experience I have ever had. The team there was... kind, professional and very nice. I had a chance to visit inside while my truck was being unloaded (special thank you to Andrew)and the selection was simply amazing. If you ever even get close, ya gotta go by there. I've been to the German Butcher twice since I moved down here. I was to their previous location (D.A. Barsch) in Toms River... years ago. My favorite style of hot dog is the German style pork/beef or pork/beef/veal mix. Especially if it's made at abutcher/pork store. The dog here is one of the best, along with other favorites like Pulaski, Kocher's (now labeled Leidy's),Swiss Pork Store, and Union Pork Store. What sets the German Butcher apart from the others is that you can get their hot dogsand other offerings to eat there. Nothing like having something made on location and served fresh. Today was the first timeordering their hot dog to eat here. All I can say is Wow! You can't beat having a quality hot dog that was made hours to a fewdays ago and served on premise. Nothing fresher. The dogs sold to go come in a few different sizes and casings. I got a fewnatural casing to bring home along with their bratwurst. But the one served here is the one pictured. A quarter pound at leastand maybe more. Prepared on a griddle. Comes with chips or fries and a pickle. The dog itself was skinless but had a thin outerlayer that was like a casing. It was served on a fresh bun baked right there at their bakery. Perfect for this dog. Topped withspicy mustard. The frank itself was hot, tender, juicy, and flavorful. Top notch for sure. Read more
Excellent service with a smile, and everything is top quality. They make these Rueben croquets that are ridiculously delicious. ... My wife just came home with some stuffed peppers which I am not a huge fan of, and they were surprisingly good. We had them witha homemade summer salad with veggies from my garden and it was the best! I am very picky and critical of the food I eat and Ican't think of a single negative thing to say. I'd give 'em six stars if I could. Read more

Best Reuben sandwich I have ever had!! Bread is light, sauerkraut is tangy and the meat is thinly sliced and just perfection.... The chicken pot pie crust is buttery and flaky and the filling is full of big chunks of chicken and loads of veggies. You cantaste the celery which I love. This place is just a mouth watering experience overall. So many choices your head will spin. There is something for everyone and it is super clean. Nice neighborhood gem ???? Read more
I was a bit disappointed. I saw German groceries in the pictures and thought I can get some taste of home. It?s just a regular... butcher shop. It must be good, because it was extremely crowded on a Friday afternoon. But not very much ?german?. Read more
