Menu for Amy’s Wine House in Forest Park, IL

I really wanted to like this place...I LOVE Amy Winehouse. We arrived after a big party and they had ran out of all sides?! No... salad, no rice nothing. We weren't even offered really any alternatives. Our waiter which I believed was the owner was sononchalant when he was serving us like he was so over it. What we ordered took super long to come. When I made a comment he saidhe was the only one working and I thought to myself why wouldn't you extra stock up or have more staff it was a Friday nightwhen most restaurants are their busiest so I don't understand I will never go back or recommend this place I was very sad thatit was a horrible experience. Nice little bar, reasonably priced drinks, nice people tun it

Great music. Great food. Great people!

I had heard really good things about this place and was excited to attend a painting night there recently. I do not understand... the draw. Maybe the food is really spectacular, but I didn't have an opportunity to try it. The breakdown: 1. It's CASH only.Which is pretty ballsy for a place with $14 entrees. 2. The ATM was out of money and the guy there was not apologetic. 3. Thearea behind the bar appears to consist of a chunk of old countertop held up by brackets and yet the wine is $6-$12 a glass. 4.I was there two hours and was never offered a menu, never asked if I needed anything. When I went back to the bar to get a menuand a drink the guy seemed vaguely put off that I was bothering him. Basically, it's a run down venture in most aspects withnothing unique or redeeming I could find. It's not a nice restaurant and it's not a dive bar, it has no niche. This place is a hidden gym the food is excellent the service is great. the people are very friendly. it's a warm cozy intimate... place with live music. next time I will plan to stay for the band. I plan to go back. Read more
