First thing I have to note is that the owner seemed weird, even when we asked innocent questions, he seemed to be very... defensive. For example: we asked: "is this how the brisket is supposed to be cut for a double order, it just seems small?" Sincewe got a double order of meat, we just expected it to be more. We weren't being hostile or Karen-y about it at all. Heresponded: "yes I weighed it and cut it myself," even though we literally witnessed the other person do it.... such a strangeway to answer to question and so defensive. Also he (or another employee) smokes cigarettes just outside the back door and itwafts through the whole area. I love the smell of barbeque smoking, grew up in the South where it was common, but the tar andputrid smell of cigarette smoke is unlike any other, so I am not mistaken with the smell here. As a side to your meal, you'resupposed to get pickles. For one meal, we got pickles....but for another, we got none. We'd asked for extra pickles (since ourtoddler likes them a lot) and instead of getting extra, we got none for some reason. Very weird. The brisket meat is delicious,very tender. However, avoid the ribs. They are dry as hell, and very stringy, not super tasty (at least when we went a few weeksago). I know you don't go there for the veggies, but the veggies are not good. The green beans are blech, the mac and cheese ismeh, but the mashed potatoes are great! They have a coke freestyle machine, and like any other Dickey's, one small free icecream cone per person is a huge bonus. Read more

Do not go here voluntarily. I went on a weekend around 3 PM. It took the staff of 2 an entire 20 minutes to scoop cold sides out... of a trough and into a to-go cup for me and 1 other person in front of me. They ran out of cups for water... so I had to buy anabsurdly overpriced bottled water... but hey, there was free vanilla soft serve around the corner I was told. Around the corner,next to the filthy BBQ sauce bucket station, indeed there was a soft serve machine. Just no cones... The food was cold when itgot to me and I'm almost entirely certain it came from one of those giant cans in the back, so it's a bit baffling how you couldget this wrong. Go somewhere else for BBQ. It seems they don't have the staff to serve more than 1 person per hour. On thebright side, they have some nice decorations in there. Read more

Last Fri lunch I had 10 of 10 experience. Excellent slow cooked BBQ meats is it's main draw (clientele). Xzavier took care of me... when I admitted the potato casserole wasn't something I personally liked how it was prepared. He let me pick free another sideand the BBQ beans were delicious with the warm BBQ sauce (complimented the meat well) combined w/ very tasty pulled pork. Nicefree soft serve cones for guests. I'll return when in the mood for BBQ. Also I was offered a free sample cup of their specialChili (off std menu) and honestly it was quite good -- worthy of my next meal. Read more

Oscar was amazing when we went inside. It was our first time there and the food was delicious and the service was great! The... meat was so good it melted in your mouth. I left my purse there and when I called, Xavier, perso who works there, was kind toget it from the booth and put it in his office until I picked it up. Went last night for dinner with my fiance. We sat inside.....yeah inside dining !!! I had the 2 meat plate - spicy Hot link,... moist beef brisket, potato salad, and BBQ beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. I've been to a few Dickey's over theyears, include some in Dallas. None come close to the great tasting food and service. Special shout out to the ownerScott....he was there greeting and talking with customers. He was very genuine and sincere. We will definitely be regularcustomers.
