Tucked into old folsom is this treasure. Walking up ypu see a classic lookung pub with beautiful windows and painted white.... Openung the heavy door leads to wood all over, brass finishes, and lots if character. The food menu is small but fits in withthe overall vibes. They have food and drink specials. The old fashion comes with a show and the ither drinks come withwarmth. Our bartender was great, even if he was busy. Definitely recommend this treasure. Read more

Met friends there for "book club." We found a quieter table near the back where we were able to converse, despite frequent... interruptions of the slamming door to the outdoor seating. Gin and tonics were made without tonic, as they use a tonic syrupinstead! Menu was limited to burgers, fish and chips, and chips with other toppings, as it was a Tuesday and the full kitchenwas not operating. This fact was not made obvious in the information we were able to find online while searching for a suitablelocation. My burger was okay, but we had been looking forward to the pub food advertised. Additionally, the restrooms haveantiquated fixtures which are not up to the job. Staff was friendly, and customers seemed to be having a good time. Seems moreof a place for local regulars than for our purpose. Read more

The Fat Rabbit is a staple of Sutter street. Authentic food is always piping hot and delicious. Shepherds pie is amazing, the... pretzels are delicious and I haven't been disappointed with anything I have ordered here in the past. Read more

The true King of all Northern California public houses. The pints are filled to the brim, the portions are plentiful, and the... atmosphere is calm yet alive. People come here to relax, to discuss, and to commune. Catch a round of darts with a stranger, fill your belly with the finest Bangers and Mash you could eat, and top it all off with a pint or two or three over good talkswith your best friends and a delicious smoke in the patio. The atmosphere was friendly and very casual. Definitely gives of English pub vibes. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I... noticed several areas for people to stand and have a drink away from the bar. Several medium and large booths to accommodatemost party sizes. I even noticed a dart board in the corner The menu has several traditional pub foods which was nice to seeand as well as some extras. We ordered a fish sandwich with fries upgraded to poutine style and the special: pork schnitzel, andbottled root beer. The food came pretty quick and portion size was reasonable. The fish was really crispy and the brioche bunwas great, however I would've preferred more tartar sauce on my sandwich. The poutine was pretty good too, their gravy waspretty darn delicious and their steak fries crispy, however they could've used larger cheese curds The schnitzel had an amazingcrunchy shell and the pork cutlets weren't overly dry. The masked potatoes has a lemony tang to it that took a minute to getused to, but the slight acidity helped balance the heavier schnitzel. Over all the food was pretty decent and we would beinterested in coming back if we were ever in old Folsom again. It's a nice break from the burgers and pizzas that are found nearby Read more
