Met friends there for "book club." We found a quieter table near the back where we were able to converse, despite frequent... interruptions of the slamming door to the outdoor seating. Gin and tonics were made without tonic, as they use a tonic syrupinstead! Menu was limited to burgers, fish and chips, and chips with other toppings, as it was a Tuesday and the full kitchenwas not operating. This fact was not made obvious in the information we were able to find online while searching for a suitablelocation. My burger was okay, but we had been looking forward to the pub food advertised. Additionally, the restrooms haveantiquated fixtures which are not up to the job. Staff was friendly, and customers seemed to be having a good time. Openung the heavy door leads to wood all over, brass finishes, and lots if character. The food menu is small but fits in withthe overall vibes. They have food and drink specials. The old fashion comes with a show and the ither drinks come withwarmth. Our bartender was great, even if he was busy. Definitely recommend this treasure. Read more
