This is on a Saturday night. We checked in at 8.55pm. They close at 9.30pm. As soon as we entered, a staff was helping us to get... us seated at a table. Another staff comes out and informs that they cannot accommodate dine in. We have to do a take away. Theywere not courteous, the way they communicated this to us. We felt unwelcome. This is the second bad experience we had at FolsomPalace, so decided to leave this review. We went to Thai Style a block away who gladly accommodated us and we ended up having ahearty dinner. My whole family enjoyed this meal, particularly my parents who haven't found a favorite Chinese food restaurant since moving... here 8 years ago. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was tidy and nicely decorated. I ordered to go and waspleased to see that Folsom Palace uses cardboard containers rather than plastic. The portions were generous. Delicious! We dined in around 3pm on a Thursday. They were empty and quick to get a table. The food was good but service was minimal. They... gave my 2 year old a cup meant for adults filled to the brim with lemon ice water. Asked for a small cup with way less water andno lemon. Was given a to go soup Styrofoam bowl filled to the top with water. Still was way to full and then flimsy for mytoddler. They were constantly on their cell phone and I had to go find them to get any help. This was for the water, a box togo, and then also the check. We were the only customers in the restaurant and had zero customer service. If you want goodservice order to go, because they were quick to get those customers taken care of. Read more
They have good food. You don't have to put salt or soy sauce on anything because it already has good flavor. The restroom is... very clean but the only thing is flies. There was only one but one is enough to drive you crazy Read more
The Chow Mein wasn't bad. I ordered Orange Beef and they gave me chicken. It wasn't that good. The sauce was sweet but it was... bland. To much around the chicken. Cream cheese wonton had no flavor. We weren't happy Read more
I generally love folsom palace. But of late their dishes are too salty!!!! The calamari sure will spike up my blood pressure and... the rest of the dishes left bad state in my mouth. Ive been ordering it recently as I thought it was a one off but sadly no suchluck...all three times it was salty.. twice for take away and once dining in.. Common guys, you can do better. This meal really hit the spot. I’m new to the area and haven’t had Chinese food out here until tryin Folsom Palace. We got... lemon chicken, orange chicken, and pork fried rice. Both of our chicken entrees were very good. The lemon chicken had a veryrich and creamy sauce with good lemon flavor. The orange chicken was a good balance of orange bitter and sweet tastes. We calledon the phone. The service was fast and food was ready when I got there. Still hot when I got home. Pretty satisfied and willreturn soon. Read more
