Our first experience at this location was great! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Everything had great flavor;... however, I'll get the cactus grits instead of the beans next time unfortunately. Everything else was delicious. Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! The portion sizes are big and with the dinner meals it comes with 2 sides.... Definitely get the grits, they are the best. I get the Diablo chicken because I like spicy food and it never disappoints. It's acheesy, spicy, delicious meal even though it's a little messy. My family left full and satisfied. The service was great, ourserver Rheana made our meal much more enjoyable. She was attentive and explained anything needed. Tonight was not good at all.. We usually eat here Every Wednesday night around 5pm, They are not busy at that time! It seems... that the kitchen has a hard time or the new waitress struggled! Out of 5 orders they only got 3 correct. The 4th was prettyclose but mine was completely wrong.. It was 1 chicken and 1 cheese enchilada! Nothing more !! At 1st they brought me 2 beef soI sent them back, and waited another 20 min. As everyone else was finishing their meals, they finally brought mine! First I tooka bite of the cheese and it was cold, so I thought I would try the chicken and it was really cold. So now everyone is doneeating and I tell the waitress I can?t eat mine. So she asks if I want them to make another one and I said no because everyoneis ready to leave. So then they bill me for it because I took one bite!!! So I ask to speak with the Manager? His name is NICK!!At NO point did he say I am sorry your food was not right or sorry it was very cold but Instead he was very cocky and said sinceyou took a bite we are charging you! So I told him keep it because I AM NOT paying for something I could not eat. Finally afterarguing with him, he took the $6 off the bill!! But not at any point did he say sorry for the inconvenience!!! We usually haveanywhere between 6 to 10 people with us every Wednesday and we are ALL LOCALS!!! Will probably look for somewhere else to eat.And when someone say where is good Mexican!!! I will send them far from Cactus as long as NICK is there!! Nick should beevaluated!! This place has a really stacked menu! I usually have the veggie fajitas. This time I ordered the spinach enchiladas along with... the shrimp soup. O M G! This combination is going to be hard to beat. The flavors were popping and I wasn't stopping. Every fewbites I'd work in some of the chips and salsa they brought out when we first sat down. The textures, flavors and temperatures ofeach dish worked so well together. Prompt greeting as soon as my wife and I walked through the door. Our server was attentiveand on point.
