Tasty Korean restaurant with delicious bowls. We came as a party of 5 and ordered 3 bowls as well as some sides. The rice bowls... are not as large as it seem on the menu but will be quite enough if you don?t wish to take in too much carbs. The secretskillet is definitely their signature and worth a try. The eggs around the rice taste like cheese and when you mix them with therice it?s amazing. Another recommendation is the beef bowl which is the stewed short ribs in Korean style. Beefs are tender andsweet which are great. However they don?t have much to offer for the spicy foods even with labels of three chili, and I guessthat?s because they?ve customized to show the good taste of the food. Located on Northern Boulevard 156th St, Sodam is a great family style Korean restaurant with pasta, rice, and fried chicken. We... ordered the kimchi pasta, soy garlic and spicy soy garlic half and half fried chicken, the chicken teriyaki with fried rice, andthe free Banchan/appetizers. Dinner on a Saturday night, I expected it to be busy. Sodam offers the usual Korean fare, fried chicken or tossed in their... sauces, and the like. Service was great. They have a call button on each table to make it easier to order. We ordered theirSodam chicken wings, the secret skillet, and some fries. The menu is pretty pricey but they are larger portions. Ever since I had galbijjim with a friend in the west coast, I tried to find the dish in NYC. It?s so juicy and tender here and... the sauce is not too sweet or too spicy (dukboki is spicier). Soooo good by itself or with rice. Love packing leftovers home tohave the next day ????. 2 orders are more than enough for 4 people. They have an outdoor extension with plastic windows so agood option in the spring or fall for semi-enclosed outdoor dining. Staff are attentive. Bathroom is clean enough but veryawkward when you?re on the toilet and looking at the urinal. Read more
Good ribs, plenty of flavor. The chicken was burn your mouth hot so be careful. The chicken flavors are more muted compared to... some other kfc, but the texture was very good.
