I was highly disappointed because I drove almost an hour to get these extra small oysters. And on top of that they were gritty,... I was actually chewing sand and had to keep spitting it out! Not to mention they even went up on the price. Verydisappointed. UPDATE: After my review half shell did reach out to me to see how they could fix the issue. Ouster?s were delicious!! Portobello mushrooms were full of flavor. My daughter got the chicken Alfredo; she don?t like sea... food. The shrimp and grits were perfect. Price was ok. We did get a dessert but could get a pic, my daughter got to it first. Read more

Just ate here for lunch. We had fried oysters, blackened Mahi, and seafood pasta. All dishes were delish. The Mahi wasn't really... blackened but I didn't feel like sending it back. The sauce that came with it was incredible. Overall good food at decent pricefor lunch. Read more

Ordered a dozen Bienville oysters last night, takeout. The oysters were overcooked (burnt), large salt rocks were baked on top... of my oysters (which I had to pick out to consume), and small shells were attached underneath (some of these were also insidethe oyster). I?m always excited to visit Half Shell when I come into town from, but I?ve never had oysters like this. Especiallysince they?ve upped the price. I paid $28 for these, only to be disgusted and have to drink bottles of water to make the piecesof shell and salt rocks go down my throat! I spent too much not to try to eat em. Very disappointed. Katelynn was our very attentive extremely nice server. We had a variety, crispy cajun avocados, fried green tomatoes and crab... cakes, oysters bienville, chicken alfredo and seafood pasta, one with grits and the other with their deliciousbroccoli. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. We washed it down with lemonade, shirley temples and I tried the strawberrybasil mojito. Several people stopped by to check on us.
