So this is my Very 1st Five Star review. This is a very hidden gem in Old Town Florissant. I've lives in north county over 20... years and never knew this place was here. They have so many peacefully romantic seating areas. Its amazing you can even sit onthe patio and chill by a fire place. The service was awesome we had a waitress but she also had a little team of people grabbingempty plates and checking on our drinks and service. The food was out of this world. I chose a healthier option with the SalmonPower Bowl. My wife wanted to try the Turkey Sandwich and French Onion Soup. It was bith of our 1st times tasting that soup.???? Everything they brought out to us from the Spinach Artichoke Dip to the Entrees was perfect. Neither of us had a issue orcomplaint. I loved my visit and will be back soon. Read more
Food was absolutely outstanding and so was our server. Everything from the salad to dessert came out fresh and beautiful plated.... Came here to celebrate the completion of a project so we had a full 4 course meal with drinks included. Side Salad, Mac & cheesebites, Pasta Florissant, all amaerica burger, lava cakes, and mile high peanut butter explosion. The actual restaurant itselfis beautiful. It has an old town feel with a mix of people. The patio is nice and pen and the fireplace is beautiful. Will mostdefinitely come again. Read more
Delicious food and drinks. Great staff. They are very kind and attentive. Cute ambiance, and great location. Good places for... parking. One small parking lot but i think they can probably hold 15-20 cars. I just wish the wait were a little shorter, butthey manage it well with allowing guests to call in before they come in. Read more
This was my first time visiting Hendel's Cafe. Let me begin by giving Erin, my waitress a shout out! Upon my arrival she was... very attentive and pleasant throughout my dining experience. Furthermore, when other guests came she remained on her "A-game!"Thank you Erin for giving me a pleasurable experience! As far as my meal, I ordered stuffed mushrooms ???? for my appetizer.They were stuffed crab meat and cream cheese. ???? yummy, yummy! Next, I ordered a turkey club and side salad for my maincourse. My sandwich was stacked so high, I could only eat half. My salad ???? not only did it look fresh, it tastes fresh aswell. Last but definitely not least, I ordered the salty crusted Carmel cake for desert, OMG! It was so moist and delicious????, the Carmel was just right ??. I will definitely be back. More than 5 stars, if I could!! My friend and I had gyros, which were incredibly delicious! Our server was impeccable,... friendly, fast and efficient. Cost for menu items matched perfectly to the presentation and composition of the foodoffered. The ambience was perfect for a beautiful sunny day. The interior is calm and relaxed yet bright enough to also keepthings feeling alive and bubbly. Carefully placed wall art and interesting pieces of furniture plus farm-style chic in otherareas, add character and charm at just the right level. After brunch we sat outdoors for a while and chatted on comfy rockingchairs facing a koi pond, which is apart of a opened up area fpr outdoor dining. Large floor fans, strategically placed, keptthe exterior air cool and comfortable. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Flatbread , a Reuben with fries and a slice of Carrot Cake online. The ordering process was simple.... I received a text alert after placing the order and when my order was ready. My food was hot and fresh. The Reuben tastes prettygood but I could hardly taste the sauerkraut. The Flatbread is good but the bottom was a bit dark for my taste. The carrot cakewas disappointing. The cake is moist which was great but the icing isn't traditional its whipped or something. I'm not a fan.This was my 1st experience with Hendel's, overall I'd say it's worth a try. Read more
I can't remember the last time I was impressed. Every element of dinner at Hendel's was perfect. I am so very happy to have gone... there by complete coincidence had the Cajun Carbonara pasta. All the employees I met were the best. Thank you for making my day. Read more
