Reviews for Iron Tree Restaurant & Funky Town Brewery in Florissant, CO
Horrible experience overall. Out of a lot of menu options for reference. Service was terrible - at least 15 minutes before we... were helped, wanted to leave but there wasn't much in the area - one waitress tending to the entire restaurant doesn't help.Manager and/or owner was walking around doing nothing and eating at the bar while the one waitress runs circles- help your staffif you're understaffed how about? Other girl working was a teeth in mouth type moment, no idea what was going on, pretty sure itwas the managers daughter, additionally, they had a child working bussing tables and seating people. Beers were ok, food wasconcerning. Honey chicken sandwich had hard sand like pieces in it, enough to spit out, chicken was also dry. Fish and chipswere over cooked and all ordered fries were an inch or less in length. One of the worst food experiences I've had in a while.Mind blown at how many good reviews there were. ???? Unexpected and delightfully fabulous off-the-beaten-path lunch or after-hike, after-fishing, after-whatever spot. Surprising... menu that includes avocado fries, addictive bbq Brussels sprouts, homemade green chili, and a variety of flatbreads (aka minipizza), tacos and burgers. Huge number of GF and vegetarian options. Shaded patio and side yard, funny staff, funky artwork. Read more
Delicious food and amazing service. We were visiting from out of town staying at the Dawn of Hope lodge up the street. Fantastic... dinner spot with delicious desserts. Would definitely recommend. Read more
You know its going to be a great day when the person running front of house treats everyone like family. The gentleman serving... the day I went was extremely kind and seemed like he enjoyed being there. He talked me into a dessert for the road and what agreat suggestion it was. The atmosphere was fun and lively with music that isn't overplayed at every other restaurant, store, and subway station. The interior design was inviting and well done. Felt like visiting someone's home more than stopping at arandom place for a bite to eat. The food was delicious and I'm already planning my next visit for another bite of that Ruben. Read more
I loved my meal! And the beer I got was also very good. Only regret is that I wish I could have gotten a few more fries, the... ones on my plate were very good but I only got a few of them. Read more

We ate at Iron Tree after visiting the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. It's a small place and we went after the lunch... rush, about 3pm. The outside was great and the food was very good too! We got grilled cheese with tomato and a burger. Ourwaiter was the only one waiting on tables so service was slower than usual. It's definitely not a place to go if you want a fastmeal. Go there to take a break, relax, have a drink, and eat while enjoying the weather and surroundings. They even had amusician setting up around 4 pm (Friday evening) which would have been cool to listen to. Read more
A favorite Go-to place for guaranteed good food and drinks! Always a nice selection of brews and hand-crafted cocktails. Ask for... the bartenders special- changes with the seasons. Smoked brisket sandwiches consistently tender and piled thick. Cheese soup isa must and home-made unique, crispy tortilla chips was a nice surprise as I usually have the fresh cut fries. My friend likedthe crispy Brussels? sprouts and wings. We always take our out-of-town guests to enjoy the good food and atmosphere. (Owner wasserver. Keep in mind every place is short staffed-be kind and patient. ) Read more
