Reviews for The Vineyard at Florence in Florence, TX
We took my mom on a Sunday outing of brunch and wine. All was so lovely and delicious. I was very impressed with the atmosphere... and the quality of the food. Initially we wanted pizzas, but were informed that the chef wasn?t satisfied with the how the doughcame out that he nixxed all pizza for the day. It gave us an opportunity to try the chicken and waffles and the croissantbreakfast sandwich. All were wonderful. After brunch we went outdoors to enjoy the patio with a wine tasting. The scenery isbeautiful. I look forward to visiting again. Read more
This place almost has it all, right atmosphere but wrong team. There's a laid back approach to service that unfortunately is... all to common these days. I believe my expectations are reasonable, really it's just common courtesy. When people arrive greetthem, if you're busy and they're standing in front of you take 1 second to address them while you finish. Staff should be funbut attentive, it's a winery your cliental want to tip and tip you well, you can do better and you know it. Read more
Visited for the first time on a Friday evening for dinner and music bingo outside. Although it was very busy, we were well taken... care of by the waitstaff who were friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. I can recommend the uncommon burger, thecrab and shrimp Mac-n-cheese, and the pavlova or brownie for dessert. Music bingo was a lot of fun and the overall atmospherevery chill. Read more
The Vineyard is such a wonderful place to celebrate any occasion or to just have a nice girls night out. I have been several... times and each time I am 110% satisfied. The food is delicious the views are beautiful and the property is inviting. Theservice at the Vineyard is unmatched. I specifically adore Millie. She allows her guest to fully enjoy their time and is alwaysin the know. Every time I have someone join me for brunch or dinner they always express how wonderful Millie is. Read more
The Vineyard at Florence was the perfect place to get married! First off, the views speak for itself, but additionally the food,... staff, and hospitality was just wonderful! Jennifer was with us though the entire planning process. She contacted outsidevendors we had if needed and solved any issues/questions that came up during planning in a timely manner. As the day ofcoordinator, she made everything run smoothly, and perfectly! Many of our guests had explained ?this is the best wedding foodI?ve ever had? and I can agree wholeheartedly! From the rehearsal dinner meal and wedding meal, to the snacks and sandwichesbrought to the bridal suite and wedding party rooms, everything was fantastic! The venue offers various locations and packagesfor your day, and they have different price points for food, and beer/liquor/wine options as well! They even offer villas forthe guests and family to stay during the wedding weekend! With our out state family this was wonderful! I would 1000% recommendthis venue for your wedding or special event! I can?t wait to go back for just for a nice dinner, or weekend getaway! Read more
We arrived at 3:45. There were very few cars in the lot & even fewer people inside. We were immediately greeted by a friendly... hostess lady. She asked us if we wanted a booth & we said we preferred a table. Immediately as you walk in there were severalemployees seated on the right. As we were about to walk to the table, one of the employees stated that they were about to closedown the dining room as they were switching menus from lunch to dinner. She then walked us to an area which had maybe 5cushioned chair / loveseats with coffee tables. We were there to eat. So we were told we could sit outside - it?s 107 degreesoutside! Or we could sit at a plastic game table, and someone would eventually come & take our food order. What does the diningroom have to do with them changing menus? There were no more than 10 people inside - we saw as many employees as we did patrons.Shame as we heard such nice things about the wine, food & ambiance. Doubt we?ll be back. I wish the website mentioned theclosing of their dining room at a specific time of day & we would NOT have changed our route home via Florence specifically toeat here! Read more
It pains me not to be able to give a 5 star review here, but I can?t. The 2 stars are for the beautiful upgrades to the seating... areas inside and out, and always the lovely view of the vines. Our service was so sub-par it was odd. We used to be long timemembers. I?ve even hosted a retreat at TVAF, so we have loved this place in the past. When we came in, we said we hadn?t been ina long time and were excited to see the changes, have a tasting, etc. We were handed menus and told to find a place to sit andsomeone would come to us. When no one came, we decided to just order a bottle, which we went inside and did. Still, no one evercame to take our food order so have no idea if the high price-point food would have been worth it. Eventually, we decided tojust head home with our wine. When we were checking out, we were still passed off to someone else, then checked out withabsolutely no sense of service, or care for our experience, or anything. The deal is, yes the wine is good and we have noproblem paying $60 for a nice bottle if it comes with the experience and service. But We can enjoy a better wine for 1/2 theprice at home. ??????????? Based on many of the other reviews in the last months, looks like we aren?t alone in ourdisappointing experience. My advice for the owners: customer service training and perhaps servers who can actually speak aboutthe wines. Read more
We visited this Winery this Saturday to look for a nice spot to chill and have some delicious wine. I'm not sure what the... owners were thinking. First, the buildings were all in a sort of "Florence" style. As we approached, some kind of hip hop wasplaying very loudly (I'm a fan of hip hop but it's totally discordant with the northern Italian vibe they seemed to be goingfor). We sat in a little courtyard under a gorgeous tree. However, we were soon asked to move because "we are replacing thetables right now." This was a Saturday afternoon as i have said, do you suppose the replacement could have been done during theweek - not during peak business hours? Ok, we grabbed our glasses and angered around the area. The view was stunning, especially for Texas. However, there were construction vehicles everywhere and some kind of moat construction happening whichruined the view. The person rearranging tables had a kid loudly playing in the only corner near the building we were allowed tosit. Between the neglected children, the music, and, frankly, the wine (the Texas selections were excellent, the CA wines wereforgettable), I could hardly recommend this place. This place has tremendous potential however the owners seem to not careabout creating a pleasant experience for customers. Perhaps next year this place will be worth visiting. Read more
