This just happened, South Carolina's Finest hidden gem seafood joint! Was ridiculous... 10 Star goodness when 5 isn't enough...... Fried Shrimp and Crab Fries off the chain ???? My daughter and I ordered takeout from Tubb?s tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. My daughter ordered the Truffled... Seafood Mac and Cheese; I ordered the Shrimp and Grits (Their Shrimp and Grits is one of the best I?ve had in Florence.) ????. Both entrees were delicious and filling!!! Well worth the visit. Wow! Don?t miss this wonderful family owned and operated gem in a remodeled old filling station. We found it five years ago... while spending an overnight in Florence. Last night we started with the mussels carefully prepared with a wine, local pork andsmall bits of blue cheese?wow. We enjoyed the sauteed crab cakes, grilled shrimp and a variety of sides. Was welcomed in by the owner, Travis. Grabbed a seat at the bar. Had very friendly service. Ordered blackened flounder,... scallops, shrimp that were accompanied with grits, collard and hush puppies. I?ll make this short and sweet. Whoever is cookingthis food needs a compliment. All of the seafood was cooked spot-on. The grits and collards are to die for. This is not anexaggeration. Food was amazing! Great lunch spot. Indoor air conditioned patio seating was a nice seating option. The Mexican hushpuppies are... a very good appetizer. We split them between 3 people and it was plenty! The fried catfish and fried shrimp was very fresh andcooked perfectly! Key lime pie for dessert was a nice light option to finish off the meal! Prices were good for the quality ofseafood. We got there around 11:45 got seated quick and the food also arrived in a timely manner. Read more
Excellent food and excellent service. We had sheepshead and oysters which were outstanding. Tried the Brussel sprouts which were... maybe the best I've eaten. Hopping John was new dish for us with black-eyed peas over rice but it was also great. Hush puppiescompleted the great meal. Is definitely recommend Tubbs to anyone who likes seafood and I'd recommend sheepshead to anyone whodoesn't like "fishy" fish. Very mild flavor. Just a great meal and only spent $50 + tip. Read more
Wow, yes wow it?s the real deal! The service from Cam was excellent and as great as the food. Southern low country seafood and... service with southern hospitality. Shrimp and grits are creamy and well flavored, grilled oysters and hoppin john (black eyedpeas and rice) was amazing. The local beer suggested by Cam was on point.
