Crab omelette was huge and outstanding. Scallop chowder was not only original and never before encountered but was one of the... top 2 or 3 soups I have ever had and we have eaten in some very fine restaurants in the US and abroad. Prices were veryreasonable, service was very personable and efficient and the whole place was sparklingly clean. While 100 miles from my home Iwill go out of my way to return to try their Mexican entrees. Their salsa, which we did try, was very flavorful and fresh. Thisis a true find. Read more
On the way up to Loon Lake yesterday, we were looking for a Breakfast spot in Florence. We went to one place & there was a line... a mile long, we went up the street to 2 other spots, one was closed down & one had no parking. Well, this must have been divineintervention, because we ended up at Venny's Cafe 101. There were a few folks there already & as soon as we were seated, a bunchmore folks came. Once we got our Breakfast, I could see why folks were coming in droves. I ordered the Machaca, it came withflour tortillas, rice & beans. This was the tastiest Breakfast I have had in years! The con salsa & pico was an added treat &the portions were huge! I made burritos out of what I had leftover, which I will eat today. Best Rice & Beans I have hadanywhere. My dining partner had Biscuits, Gravy, Eggs & Patty Sausage, which he enjoyed thoroughly. The owners were super sweet,super attentive & absolutely wonderful. When I ordered the Machaca, she asked me if I knew what that was & that it had meat init. She said a lot of folks think it's only veggies in the eggs. We assured her that I did know what Machaca was & that I wasexcited to try it. The flavor that was coming through from the Machaca to my tastebuds! Wow, so delicious & I felt like I waseating Breakfast way down South again, like when I was in Junior High & we used to travel across the border every weekend, to goto our favorite Taco stand. I cannot wait to go back to Venny's again. Oh & the coffee (I have to drink decaf) was rich & dreamygood. If Breakfast tasted like this, I can only imagine what Lunch & Dinner tastes like! I came here with some friends when we were passing through Florence. So glad we stopped here for lunch! They had a fish taco... special and it was served very well. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. I definitely plan to come back here again nexttime I pass through! Also the Aguas Frescas are great too. Read more

This is the best restaurant on the Oregon coast. It is a well kept secret. I have had breakfast and dinner here and every meal... has been superb. They offer many Mexican breakfast options as well as full American style breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, bacon,toast, etc. served as well as chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and meñudo. Dinner options are plentiful. The last time I atethere I had the Enchiladas Poblana with a sweet mole sauce and it was out of this world. The service here is top notch and theeffort put forth in preparation is excellent. The combo meals are huge and can easily feed two people or more! Also the salsa isthe BEST I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. There actually is a bit of heat to it and the flavor is so fresh. They alsoabide by local COVID restrictions and encourage social distancing when seating customers. This is a must stop when travelingthrough Florence Oregon! Read more
