Since discovering this wasn't really a wine tasting venue but rather a cool kind of sports bar/restaurant this has become one of... favorite restaurants in the area. The chef is kicking out some consistently good food and the vibe is casual with sports usuallyon the TV's. Not sure if they inherited the name or what but I guess you can't judge a book by its cover (although I'm sure alot of people do). Two thumbs up!!! Read more

The Wine Haus is a must when driving between San Antonio and Houston or anywhere in between. The staff is very helpful and... attentive. The food is out of this world. Be sure to try the crab dip. Wine selection is fantastic, there are beer options forthose that don't like grapes and there is live music (at least today there was). If you are traveling down I-10 or highway 90for any reason...you need to check this place out. Read more
Love this place! The food is sooo good, great chef, and the staff is awesome too! I thought I hated asparagus until i got some... here...wow..it was great! I have had several things on the menu and have never been disappointed! They have specials as well astheir regular menu so be sure to look them up online or call for their delicious fare of the day! :) Read more
Working in Flatonia for a few days and this happened to be the last place we tried for dinner (not that there are many... options). If you find yourself in Flatonia and Wine Haus is open, GO THERE. I had the house salad and the chicken dinner. Everything on the plate was fresh and delicious. We came a bit later at night so the atmosphere was quiet and comfy, much like a winebar I suppose. I don?t even drink, but if I ever find myself in this area around dinner time again, I?ll take my money over tothe Wine Haus y?all! Oh yeah that tomato bisque goes hard! Read more
We stopped by on a Lenten Friday, and what did they have? A daily special of grilled fish that rivaled anything i have eaten at... the most prestigious seafood restaurants from Corpus Christi all the way to Key West. Who'd-a-thought!! Excellent wine to gowith it. We'll be back! Read more
My wife and I decided to spend our 1st anniversary in a small town. We wanted a place to have dinner and I'd planned a little... surprise for my wife involving champagne and jewelry. I contacted Eduardo to ask if I could make a reservation and ask hissuggestion for a good reasonably priced champagne I could order by the bottle. Not only was Eduardo VERY knowledgeable but himand Andy were ready and willing to be in on the surprise for my wife. They went more than the extra mile to accommodate thefeeling of specialty I wanted to impress upon my love. After the champagne was served, Eduardo brought me one of the bestburgers I've ever sank my teeth into, and my wife a sort of off menu surf and turf. The steak she ordered was as tender as amarshmallow and the flavor was incredible. Eduardo, and the management team as well were so attentive and cordial. The level ofjoviality was unparalleled to any dining experience I've had in more than a decade. And the willingness and enthusiasm to beapart of such a special moment in our lives has ensured that none of them, nor the food, nor the experience will soon beforgotten. They are more than just a Wine Bar, but their menu of wines is quite extensive, and it's proximity to I-10 makes thisplace not just easily accessible, but more than worth the stop, whether you seek to quench a thirst, or a hunger.
