Recommended to me by a local and I'm so glad it was! I decided on the Chef's multi-course menu with the spirit pairing and... wasn't disappointed! Beautiful, thoughtfully put together food with amazing flavor combinations! Some dishes were classicallygood while others were an unexpected delight to the senses! I really wanted to love this place, but my experience turned out to be just OK. In fairness I did go in with high expectations... based on the reviews I read here, and they were doing a mezcal pairing menu that night that we did not partake in, so perhapstheir focus was not on the regular menu items that night. That said, the rabbit agnolotti was kind of bland, and the venisonchop showed no signs of the coffee chili dust it was supposed to be seasoned with and was a little overcooked on the tips. Thered onion goji jam was good though, and it's worth noting that rhe venison was still decent, they didn't ruin the meat, theyjust didn't do much to improve it either. Inventive gem in the heart of Flagstaff, Shift is a must stop for any foodie visiting Flagstaff. Everything here was decadent,... and I especially recommend the pickled fries and the gelato appetizer, those two really stole the show! Read more

Weekend away with the hubby and he surprised me with reservations at Shift Kitchen. A small plate community experience. The... staff made us feel part of a whole community. We wanted to contribute, so we asked the head chef, to make us the dish you hadthe most fun creating. The dish, dishes, were an orchestra of taste, texture and mystery. This quaint little bistro is amazing. Elegant, eccentric, and amazing food. The portions are designed to be shared, perfect... amount, perfect ratios of food.
