Reviews for Dara Thai Restaurant in Flagstaff, AZ
We'd been here before and absolutely loved it, but our most recent visit was less impressive. Both of our noodle dishes were... bland, even the one that was level 4 spice. The spicy cashew rice dish was better, but a bit sweet. Decor is nice, andrestaurant was clean. Most likely we'd end up somewhere else the next time we're craving Thai. Read more
It was pretty empty on a Tuesday night. The staff might need some training (example, the small plates were not provided until... asked with the appetizers, dinner plates weren’t cleared before the dessert came out, etc.). We ordered the Sample Plate andenjoyed the fried wonton. Each dish can be catered to a spicy level between 0 to 5. We ordered the duck curry and a level 3 wasgood. The pad Thai was sweet and flavorful. The beef in the mussaman was way over cooked and difficult to chew. The shrimp thaisuki did not disappoint! Overall, the food tasted pretty good, a bit on the salty side. Read more

Paid for Thai fried rice and received a dish with rice, beef, and veggies- no flavor, no spice! I’ve ordered Thai fried rice... from this restaurant before but it had flavor, maybe a new cook… regardless it’s pricey for a bland meal! Read more
Dara Thai Restaurant is a full service, full menu Thai food eatery in Flagstaff with good flavor, reasonable prices and kind... staff. Rounding up a trip to Flagstaff, this was the last meal we had here before traveling home. This was a perfect wrap up forhungry family and friends to enjoy a meal. The restaurant is actually well spaced with 2 rooms for dining plus a full bar areawith additional tables. The decor is standard Taiwanese drapings, statues and such. The facility is large enough for a party orgroup but also has smaller tables for an intimate date. Located just south of the tracks near old town Flagstaff, it works for anice getaway from the largely American foods and coffee shops filling the area. I ordered the Garlic with meat entrée (51) amdhad it with pork. The flavors were excellent and the portion was large. It came with a cup of rice, and garnished with cilantroand cabbage. I also order chicken fried rice with chicken and veggies, which was likewise very tasty. The final item I enjoyedwas the wonton soup with chicken, which was served in a flame heated collander bowl. Yummy. Other family and friends had padthai, penang curry and more. Everyone said the dishes were spot on. For me, the only thing I need to do was ask for a bit morespice, which is pretty much standard for every Thai restaurant I go to. The prices were reasonable, and the service was good. Read more

Dara Thai was a great experience to order and share a variety of dishes. The only way Thai food should be enjoyed.
