Each of the four of us chose different dishes so we sampled many choices. All were declared to be VERY good. It was a very busy... night at the restaurant, but the wait staff handled it very well. We were not rushed. It was a very enjoyable dining experience.I recommend this restaurant. Read more

Great service they had my favorite rum Myers a great start. We both had the grilled octopus and my friend had scallops over ... risotto and I had the lamb shanks. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We both took our unfinished dinner home as wellas our desert which neither had room to finish then. We were well cared for the service was excellent. I have heard good things about Sotano come up and honestly I was a bit disappointed. I eat out a lot and have expectations of a... place that is supposed to be fine dining. Firstly, we had a reservation but there was a bit of weirdness when we came in whenthe nice hostess was seating us the man insisted on checking that we actually did have a reservation. It's not like we dressedlike bums or anything, I suspect he had his reasons, but it was awkward. The service was otherwise lovely. However, each mealdisappointed me. The oysters were Blue point and they were literally tasteless. I think it's time to switch it up perhaps. There are so many varieties of oysters out there. I had calamari and I felt that it was a little bit undercooked and quitechewy. I also had the sotano salad and it was unexciting and bland. My husband had the lamb shank and he did like it, but wasdisappointed with everything else. Regardless, it's a nice place if you are not expecting food that is carefully cooked so thatit is at its tastiest. A party of four came to a bill of $300, which was expected. What a lovely dining experience. The staff was absolutely wonderful for starters. I went with three guest to sample the... restaurant week menu and it did not disappoint. The fried burrata was a hit. The butternut squash soup warm and flavorful. Thepollo Classico was a perfect mid point of crunchy and saucy. The flan was also an excellent dessert as was the tiramisu. I just want to say I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Its our first time here and the next we will visit Fishkill my mum and I will surely come... here again. The food are so delicious. The soup was really good. I ordered Lobster ravioli and ohh gushh those was so good andsauce was so good i dont like mushrooms but i ate it because of the sauce. My mum had Shrimp Diavolo and it was so good too itsa little bit spicy but good. Melinda our waitress is so nice, the owner is so nice too. He came to our table and greeted my muma happy birthday since I told them that its my mum birthday when i reserved the table. The place is clean and so nice inside.Ohh their bread is good too. We will surely come back here because of this experience. Read more

Finally got around to trying Sotano. Great ambiance inside an old house and good outdoor seating. Was pleasantly surprised. Food... was good and prices were quite reasonable for the quality. Service was also very friendly. Lamb shank was good and the chickenMilanese had avocado, fresh mozzarella, and a balsamic drizzle in addition to the common tomatoes as arugula on top. Great service and delicious mediterranean food. I read the reviews on this place before visiting. Called to made a reservation... they accommodated our request right away. The wine list is great and had the sea scallops and were absolutely tender and savory! Read more

This is the first time we visited the place. And boy! It was amazing! The food was great. The atmosphere was even greater. I had... the Sotano Burger. The dried aged beef gave that rich flavour. Our friends had the chicken and the mussel. It was good even thewater and wine. Inside they have the bar wih the ceiling beam exposed. I find it to be interesting design. The owner of therestaurant came out to greet us and the waitress was even nicer. I definitely recommend this place and will surely come backagain for others on the menu. Excellent experience!
