I love this place. The service was excellent. I like that the dishes are big enough, you can even share one plate with two... people. Honestly, I have been here before, and I remember that the plates were more flavored than today. It's way better thanIHOP, but today Id was expecting more. I ordered biscuits and gravy, and the biscuits weren't that soft, and I would rather havemore gravy in the biscuits. I highly recommend the Monte Cristo sandwich is an excellent twist of flavors. Since 1933!!!! This place is an institution. You want pancakes the size of your head ? Right here! What a treat. Service was... exceptional. Food was delicious. No matter how busy they are we always get seated as soon as we walk in. A couple times we have come in a big group & the servers... are always so patient and kind with all the kids. The food is always good as well! The restaurant itself gives off old schooldiner vibes and you want to think it?s just another Denny?s but it?s so much more! Loved the nostalgic feel of the old diner. The food was god and what you would expect from a diner like this. Our Waitress... Kayla was fantastic and super friendly. If you go to dine I would suggest getting the Strawberry Rhubarb pie with Ice Cream. We had a French Dip, and the Skillet 54. Of course Strawberry Rhubarb pie. All in all it was a great experience and broughtback some memories of when I was young going to diners with my folks. I will certainly be a return customer. Read more
About 3 minutes from the moment I walked in, we were welcomed and sat. Waitress Yendi got us our drinks and food quick. Wow! Very pleasant surprise this morning! Haven't been in Poodle Dog for a few years. Truly our loss! It's been remodled,... the food is great and the service fantastic. We'll be back much sooner!???????????????? Had the Salisbury steak tonight! Itwas fantastic! The salad was great too! I'd trade the mashed potatoes for a baker or french fries next time.
