First... the catfish was great! The shrimp pasta (maybe the wrong name) also good. My main focus was the catfish which is again... was GREAT!!!! hush puppies are good. Good authentic Cajun flavors (I\'m from Louisiana). Fries were very good and the Cajuntartar sauce also very good. I also had the jambalaya which has very good Cajun flavors.\nSo glad the there\'s a place like thisin Whatcom County!!!! Owner and workers very nice and customer service oriented! Read more

This seafood basket was SO good, so satisfying! Catfish and shrimp are well seasoned and had a nice crunch! The homemade tartar... sauce was next level! I ordered the Mac n Cheese last time and it was a bit bland to be honest, but the seafood really makes upfor it. Will be back again! Read more

Country fried chicken was crispy and well-seasoned. Spicy BBQ chicken was sticky and good. They use real good sausage in the red... beans and rice too. Banana pudding was good just need a few more Nilla wafers. Can\'t get better fried chicken around here.Reminds me of NO (a big to-go box filled with crispy fried chicken wings, fries and bread - and they don\'t just add a thickpiece of white bread, you get a sweet roll at Battle\'s). Will def be back. Read more

So excited to see authentic Louisiana style Seafood in Washington State!\n\nThis is my first visit and I ordered the Seafood... Basket so that I can sample a bit more variety. Nothing disappoints here. The seafood (shrimp and catfish) isn?t just fresh, but also very well-prepared, well-seasoned, and made with love. Their dedication for food is obvious and in every bite.\n\nIthink the owners are smart for taking advantage of the fine quality of the local seafood in the area, and combine that withtheir roots in Louisiana style cooking. It?s full of flavour and not overwhelming.\n\nAlthough this place doesn?t seem easy tofind at first, a quick search on Google Map would do. It?s really an exciting hidden gem. As a Canadian, this is really worthdriving across the border for.\n\nThey seem to be adding new items regularly and seasonally. Eager to try something new nexttime. Read more

My first time here.. walk up to the window, order, wait then pay. Super nice people working. Loved everything about batter... and the chicken was yummy. The shrimp was a wee bit salty for my taste, standard fries. Yummy Cajun sauce. My only thought wasthe store bought dinner rolls were meh. I\'d have loved some corn bread or even hush puppies.. Nice job Battles, a little moresignage and publicity and you\'ll be hopping! Read more

I got the seafood basket, seafood mac, and red beans and rice. I\'ve lived in The South most of my life, and I\'ll say this is... pretty authentic if anyone is wondering. Reminded me of some summer cookouts back home. The fry time is spot on, and the batteris nostalgic. The dips are a good pairing.\n\nI hope saying this doesn\'t offend the cooks, but if I\'m being honest I snackedin the car and made some changes when I got home. Stirred Crystal into the mac, lemon juice and Crystal on the fish and put iton a bun, and then the rb&r ended up pan-fried with more hot sauce and butter. It\'s good, simple, hometown food, and you canpretty much do whatever you want to it without worrying about messing things up.\n\nEnjoy. Read more
