There's a reason this restaurant got accolades in national food magazines. EXCELLENT seafood. Very fresh. Great menu always with... something unique I've never seen before. Oysters are sometimes a little small, but they are so good. I'm not even much of anoyster fan, but this place makes me see why people are mad for oysters. Read more

Stellar show across the whole menu. Not a single miss anywhere, which makes it hard to pick favorites but I'll try to hit the... highlights: smoked squid in the shishito dish with lime was an excellent and unexpected combo, the black garlic with mushroomswas predictable but delicious, and both scallop dishes (Crudo of the day and the seared u10s) together were a beautiful exampleof the potential texture spectrum of the ingredient (meltingly soft in the crudo, meaty plump and crunchy in the seared scallopdish). I'd probably skip the cobbler next time (unimpressive after everything else) and I wish I'd known you can order thelobster roll off menu outside of happy hour but the upside is we'll certainly try to come back! Only took one photo of our first plate(crudo) because I was so focused on all of the amazing food in front of me! The oysters,... buffalo halibut, Caesar salad, mussels, crudo, & drinks were all great and every dish on the menu was clearly created withtalent and passion. Loved that they also had mocktail options. I would absolutely eat here again. Read more

We arrived a little early for our reservation to check out happy hour. Our bartender Jordan was helpful in selecting a few... drinks and dishes. Good conversationalist. After an hour we went to sit for dinner where adorable Lily helped us pick out a fewmore drinks and dishes. Everything....and I mean everything, we tried was top tier. The flavors and preparation was *PERFECT*.We blew off this spot for years because of the Detroit food explosion. Much regret for not checking out Voyager sooner! Might bethe top 3 Seafood spots I have had in my life. The drinks were well balanced as well. Read more

Voyager is such a lovely restaurant. My husband and I had such a delicious dinner here a few weeks ago. The menu was dedicated... to an event in France when we went (I can’t remember what it’s called). It’s a cozy environment and the food wasexcellent! Read more

I really want to like this restaurant. I’ve been here before and loved it. Sadly, they dropped the ball on the special... tonight. The halibut was bone dry. It was way overcooked. It seems like it was just a simple but novice mistake that should havebeen spotted during plating. The rest of the dish was fantastic. The Fish itself was tough and chewy. We also had the Dungenesscrab, which was very good. Simple. The oyster mushroom dish was okay. There were scorched flavors overpowering the sweetnessyou normally look for with black garlic. It kind of worked though. It wasn’t bad. The scallops were executed perfectly. Thatpoblano and mint combo is beautiful, as was the sear on the scallops. Really lovely dish. The carrot cake dessert was not myfavorite. The white chocolate layer is thick, unmanageable, and excessive. The cake itself needs moisture. The mascarpone, whichI was most looking forward to on that dish, doesn’t really shine through. The foam the cake is plated with is a nice trick. Itis very pretty, and adds some much needed brightness. Regrettably, it that dessert simply does not taste as good as the picturelooks. I will probably go back in the future to give voyager another try. Hopefully they do a better job with the fish. Read more

Second time here & the quality of seafood here is rare for metro Detroit (and the prices match that). Service was accommodating... and attentive, but not over bearing. The OYSTERS were AH-mazing (Pink Moon). Always enjoy the peel & eat shrimp & the hushpuppies with that sweet butter. Arctic char was perfectly cooked - the turnips might’ve been a liiiiitle too smoky but Ienjoyed them. I love that this place is just down the street. Don’t ever change. Read more
