Been meaning to try this place with my wife and we finally did it tonight. It?s gorgeous inside, friendly staff, and amazing... food. We had the sampler app, steak and shrimp, and Bri pasta. Came here for my birthday and had the blackened catfish with shrimp. It was served over a bed of rice with a Cajun gravy. It was... beyond amazing. Now from the outside you wouldn't think it would look so gorgeous in the inside they way it do...but I guess that's what I get... from assuming. I had the beef brisket and ribs with string beans and Mac and cheese. I must say that beef brisket was the bestbrisket I ever had thinly sliced and the sweet BBQ sauce was on point the Mac and cheese seem to have the white cheeder or awhite cheese and the string beans needed salt but not bad. Let's be frank: I dropped a note-forty for 3 (mom, girlfriend, myself), and we collectively couldn't find anything that would... make one regret dining here. They had a Strawberry Hennessy that will make you consider favorably the risks of living with alcoholism, but what youget for $12 almost makes you want to call the whole dining thing off! Yet, since drinking is a personal choice which can makebut not break a meal, that many patrons do without, we won't let that be the reason not to come here. I had a rib & brisketspecial that would make you turn on your grand-daddy's family-revered barbecue as if he never meant anything to you! My mom hada double brisket with two sides (mac and cheese and some fire garlic bread with cheese), and she was smiling like it was herbirthday. But that won't be till June! And girlfriend had a catfish and shrimp platter that looked just like on the menu! And weall know food never looks like what you see on the menu, right? And the food portions are deceivingly filling: all three of ushad food to box up when we left! Once you eat the food that this Black, family-owned restaurant creates you'll find that thepriority here is great food and greater hospitality.
