We loved this coffee shop. Great coffee drinks, fantastic country style sandwiches on thick delicious bread, and really friendly... employees. Lots to look at, some great jewelry and decor items for sale. Very cozy with tables and couches, we could have stayedfor hours chatting with the owner who was just so friendly and willing to spend time chatting with us about pretty mucheverything. Next time we're in the area, we're stopping by again. Read more

Higher Grounds has great on-the-go food; I especially recommend the Grilled Ham and Cheese Bagel. I enjoyed chatting with the... owner and the lady backing in the kitchen. It has very friendly service, and a delightfully quiet atmosphere, especiallyupstairs in the loft. I can see where it?s ideal for a small group of friends to meet, or even a board business meeting. Ifavor a dark roast coffee. As a visitor to Fergus Falls, I was surprised to learn that they carry their own house coffee blends. They call it rich, smoky, and balanced - indeed it is! I paired it with their Coffee Cookies (their own recipe) and loved it!This lady can bake. I asked the owner what she attributed her success to and she said it goes to who friend who bakes. Afterbringing her on to bake, she says the town came to enjoy their baked goods. I can see why! It has outdoor seating, Wi-Fi,take-out service, with tasty soup and sandwiches combinations, additional small plate options, and tea lattes. It is a neatbuilding ? but you need to be ready to take a hike up the stairs. They are open 9 AM to 5 PM weekdays and Saturday. I highlyrecommend it. Read more
