Huge, huge thanks to Nathalie at Red Door for the amazing hot and ready catering she provided for lunches on our recent film... shoot!! She was incredibly accommodating, and all of the meals were so fresh and delicious. I did not have a great experience here. At the door my son and I were waiting several minutes for the greeter to finish her... conversation and taking notes from a man giving advice on how to treat covid ?naturally? and that he had found a wealth ofinformation online over the last 9 months that he was eager to share. Not a great start. The food tasted great although portionsize was on the small side, especially the soup (served half full in a small bowl), when you consider the price. The service wassub par. The young woman serving my son and I needs some lessons on basics of serving. I ordered a meal to share with my son(toddler under 2) and opted for quesadilla and soup. The server brought the smallest water glass to the table that was only halffull to begin with. After two sips I finished it and the server never offered to refill it. Eventually I asked for some morewater and a cup for my son, too. Later she brought the meal and it was quesadilla and salad. I politely asked her about thesoup. She looked at me blankly and said, ?You said salad.? I did not. What I said was ?that sounds great? when she said the soupwas butternut squash. I was sharing the meal with my son, which she knew as I had told her I was picking items he can eat. He?stoo young for salad. She brought the soup and I did not eat the salad because I didn?t order it. We went to pay and she chargedme for the soup on top of the quesadilla and salad. At the register it didn?t really appear like she knew what she was doing andby this point I was so fed up with the poor service I just wanted to get out of there so I let the over-charge slide. I've... ordered their home made butternut squash soup, and it was delicious, several layers of flavour thanks to a very well balancedseasoning.
