Aug. 6, 2022 3rd Review. Went today around 3 p.m. for some takeout. Wanted to try out the Carne Asada fries, typically the best... selling item in most similar restaurants.Wanted also to validate one of the items I ordered previously for consistency. TheAsada fries were fine. Fries were well cooked. The Asada was a little disappointing, I wished the meat was better seasoned. Imainly tasted salt, like one of the items I reviewed previously. Fortunately the lunch special Carnitas Burrito remainedconsistent as the previous time. Still required the pickled carrots and jalapenos to enhance the flavor. So overall, I stillrate this particular store somewhere between 3 to 4 stars depending on the item ordered. Not my first pick, but adequate forquick cravings. Bought 3 different items this time to try out the store?s offerings - Lunch special Carnitas Burrito, Lunch specialTaquitos, and California Taco Salad with beef. California Taco Salad - Not as much beef (Machaca?) as I liked, and the overalltasta was pretty bland. Adding additional Salsa from the salsa bar did little to enhance the flavor much. The accompanying riceand refried beans tasted fine. Lunch special Taquitos - Daughter ordered this, and her conclusion is that the dish wasbland. Lunch special Carnitas Burrito - This was consumed 2 days later after storing in the fridge. Of the three, this wastasty and skewed towards the salty side. Eating it with the pickled Jalapeno and carrots added the right amount of tanginess toenhance the dish. The red salsa was very spicy, but lacked other tastes. Comparing these foods to the Tacoma Memo?s offerings,the pricing is a little less though the portions were also a little less. Taste-wise, Memo?s has a large edge over this store. WOWSERS!!! Friendly staff, great service, good food, fast. I had the two fish taco combo and my husband had the carnitas torta.... Mine had lots of fish and my husband's was loaded with meat. Great value! Read more
I've been here a few times now and always utilized their drive-thru. I honestly have had great and timely service for each of my... visits. The food is ALWAYS fresh, the perfect temperature, and delicious. I can see and taste that they use REAL ingredients fortheir food too! It's an added bonus that they're open 24/7 and you can order the breakfast burritos all throughout the day. Thesteak and egg burrito with the Mexican Salsa is my favorite. That salsa just gives the burrito an extra burst of flavor that's anice surprise!! Try them out. You won't regret it, I promise.???? Read more
Let?s talk about a unexpected surprise. This place packs a punch and is very easy on the wallet/purse. Delicious jammed packed... burritos for under $10. Plates under $10 and the food is good too! Really good. They even have breakfast. I wish the place wascloser I?d go all the time. Everyone was friendly when we walked in. Seating is very limited but a table quickly opened up forus. We barely made it inside the building with the drive thru being backed all the way up. That was a good sign in my eyes.Check this place out if you need a quick bite to eat. You won?t be disappointed. DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE EATING HAIR!!! The quality of food and service is horrible. Unless you speak spanish or their... language, they are rude to you!! We had hair in our food and lost all appetite after finding a long hair in our food. It wasearly in the morning after work so i called in and the manager that time said they will refund us whenever we have a chance tocome with receipt, picture of hair in food within a week period because we were too tired to make that long drive again. Myspouse went to get refunded the next day and they gave us issues about refunding the whole meal. They even lied fo us sayingthey asked a manager in the back and the manager agreed with giving us a partial refund. I called back a few minutes later andanother employee told me a manager wasn?t coming in till after 6pm. They were rude and condescending Per usual on the phone.This isn?t the first time they?ve messed up on orders or I?ve found something in there food, but it is the Last!
