Came in after a hardcore workout, male employee (nosering) at the start of the order line snapped at me, then snapped at another... employee ("Is it as big as your hand?!"), heard my order, then conveniently forgot what I ordered (all the while seeming like hecan't be bothered or is too angry to bother with work), so kept asking me what I wanted. When I asked the other employee whethershe was bothered by his snapping, she said 'Oh, don't worry, he's just like that.' Shared with her and the other employee at theregister how problematic it is, when the first experience in ordering is that male employee throwing attitude left & right. Toadd to that, yeah, as other reviews have recently posted: the place is far from clean and kept up. Stacks of trays (both cleanand dirty) were left out on tables in the dining area, floor wasn't kept clean, tables & counters weren't clean, the horchatacontainer was empty (with no sign of it being refilled, in the course of a not-busy 30min stretch). I've also worked fast food,so I understand it's not a thrilling job. . .but service & cleanliness are essential to this business. Read more
The food was amazing! Service not too much! We have been in different Cafe Rio even back in Utah. Been a loyal customer. So far... this Federal Way location tends to forget a lot of things on your order. Especially the online pickup. This time they forgot mydaughter?s queso. Online ordering is supposed to be convenient :) Last time, they forgot my father in-law?s meal. I guess Ishould have double checked. But surprise, it?s not my job to double check your darn work! With the gas prices up, their teamshould?ve been better at checking that the order is accurate. It?s just the right thing to do! Also, when I picked up my orderthis location was not busy, so no excuse. Management please for goodness sake, re-train your employee. This is my fist time ilat this place and i loved it. Someone recommended it to me a while ago but haven't had the chance to try... it until now. The make their own flour tortillas by hand, which was amazing for me because i love hand made tortillas. I trulyrecommend it Read more
I made an order online & got a notification that my order is ready for pick up. When I got there, they said they didn?t have my... order so I showed them my receipt from my phone that I did in fact made an online order. It was embarrassing to see multipleemployees look at me like I made a mistake when the mistake was actually on them. I understand, it happens but it was how it washandled. One employee rudely said ?all online orders are already done?. Not only that, I had to wait around longer while theyscrambled to get my order done & gave us the wrong dressings on top of it? This is one of the better Cafe Rio locations that I've been to. I'll generally stop in here for lunch or dinner getting the... salad. The main mixed with the drink runs about $16. They're pretty fast at getting people through the line when it's busy andhave excellent customer service. The dining area, kitchen and restroom are generally very clean. It was FILTHY!!! Please see photos below. To start the fiasco, there was no soap in the ladies bathroom. How are employees... supposed to "wash before returning to work?" ???? We ordered after slathering Hand Sanitizer. The person who served me was rudeand bitter. She gave me half of what she gave my friend, on the same order. The food was GREAT, but after we ate, we saw filthon the floor, on the trash bins, on the windows. We both felt like throwing up. Our bad for staying there, not walking out. Read more
Great service and delicious food! They have a variety of delicious menue items and I appreciated their selection of sauces... ranging from mild to very hot. I ordered the tacos with shredded roast beef and recieved generous helpings of lettuce, hotsauce, and pico as well as rice and beens. It was delicious! I also enjoyed their wide selection of beverages including myfavorite; original Mexican Horchata. Read more
