Reviews for Pointone African Cuisine in Fayetteville, NC
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. ?? The prices are a good deal if you know how much food they're feeding you (a LOT), and their food is... super delicious! It's not "spicy" as in "hot" but as in "flavorful"—it's not Cajun food, but that's the closest comparison. Ithink the unfamiliar flavor can make it an acquired taste for some, but you won't mind acquiring it because once you've triedtheir food, you'll want to try all their dishes! New food is just the thing we need when we're sick of eating the same stuff allthe time. None of this is the reason for my rating, however. I've gotten around to leaving a review because they havelife-changing customer service. And I mean that literally, without hyperbole—for some of us. Because some of us aredisabled. Disabled people often get the worst customer service because there's a lot of ignorance in the world and not a lot ofpatience. Dear Deaf Fayetteville: I have eaten at every restaurant on that street, and if you have to pick one, eat here. Ididn't have to struggle to order, because they didn't force me to speak or lip-read! They immediately switched to textcommunication without a hassle. And they checked in with me like with other customers, asking how my food was and just mannerlysmall talk like that. It was really nice to NOT be ignored and overall treated like a bother to interact with...the secondsomeone realizes you're disabled. There are places where I'm a regular that don't show me the consideration I got here as afirst-time customer. I would highly recommend them for that alone, but it surely helps that the food is very tasty, too. =) Read more

I have to agree with other reviewers. The portions are very small/little. I kept finding bones in my egusi soup. The prices are... a mystery, all the combo meals pricing were covered. The egusi is really good, DO NOT EXPECT ANY LEFTOVERS THOUGH!!!!! I rated 2stars because the egusi & plantains are delicious ???? Read more

First time customer and I fell in love with the cuisine. I had the chicken kebob with fried plantains, puff puffs (a cross... between a hush puppy and a fried donut) and a "mild" pepper sauce. They lied about the sauce. There was nothing mild about thesauce I had, but it was delicious! Definitely coming back for more. Read more
Located on Walter Reed Road in the same plaza as of Zaxby's, and Tropical Smoothie, you will find a much needed African... restaurant in the neighborhood. There is a very limited seating area for those who wants to dine-in. The staffs were friendlyand the food was delicious. Read more
The food I received was not worth the money we paid for. The oxtails were cold and only received 4 small oxtails. And only 2... small oxtails came in the #6. The plantains were cold and dry. Very disappointed! I don't know if the cooks rushed through thefood because it was 1 hour before closing time or if this is a usual thing. I would not be recommending this restaurant toanyone else because it's not worth it. Warm food needs to be provided if your going to charge high prices for it. We shouldn’thave to come home and still have order more food from another restaurant. Read more
The place is beautiful and staff friendly. First time trying west African food. Egusu was delicious the rice was well cooked... but the meat was tough. We ordered goat meat , but I guess we were given goat feet or cow feet. Asked for a to go box, I cookedthe meat at home till it was tender and turned out delicious. May try again. Read more
