My posse and I stopped by here this morning for breakfast and I had the country fried steak with eggs, toast and fruit. The... steak was ok but I think they should use cube steak cuz they used a round steak and it just doesn't come out as good as cubed. It's also a bit tougher than normal cubed steak. The seasoning was ok but I could've used more gravy. We had good service andthe prices were average. Read more

Quite the experience. They had great service, but the kitchen messed up the order and it took us an hour to get food. The food... was good, but a little pricey for the taste. Not really sure how to rate that experience, but it was an interesting one. Read more

I hate writing this review of what had been a favorite place to take guests etc. Mostly we have been there for lunch but our... recent visit was dinner and much has changed. The fried green tomato for the appetizer had been sliced paper thin and there wasno discernible taste to it other than just ?fried.? Seriously -a small tomato had been cut into 8 slices. The chicken friedsteak was awful- the meat had not been pounded thin and it was just well done .5+ inch thick round steak and fried batter thatflaked off when the meat was cut. Edible but just barely. The chicken fried chicken had also not been pounded- it was just aboneless and battered chicken breast. The meat was rubbery- that may be the fault of the supplier? but either way it was hard tochew or swallow. We apologized to the friends we had invited to go there. Although we were there about 6:00 pm they were out ofthe catfish and the fried chicken. The server was attentive. The atmosphere had changed with the addition of a bar and TV andthe disappearance of the case with the lovely deserts and pastries. Sorry to see what has happened. Read more

My mom and I ate here at lunch time- we both got the choose two option with a salad and sandwich. The atmosphere was relaxing... and modern - I'd definitely return to try out their brunch options! Pictured is the Texarkana salad and the bacon, turkey, andavocado sandwich. Read more

The restaurant was VERY busy when I arrived, and despite the excellent service I received, I was disappointed that it took 45... minutes for my fairly simple order to arrive to my table. The sausage was a bit dry, and the side of fruit was fine but nothingspecial. The biscuit was very fluffy and delicious, though not warm enough to melt the butter I spread on it. The iced coffeewas nice and strong. Read more

Great food and service! The coffee is a little out of the normal (I?m a regular coffee guy)not sure if there are options, but I... was not asked and the coffee is served in huge cups. My over medium eggs were not right, and they quickly replaced, greatcustomer service. I Will visit again. Read more
