Excellent Mexican food in downtown Fate, Texas. Not Tex-Mex, but still very good. We had the Chicken Nachos, the Tacos de la... Casa with carnitas, the Tacos Callejeros with chipotle steak, and the Cheese Enchiladas. All were great. For cocktails we allhad Avocado Martinis, which is one of the better drinks I've had anywhere. Downtown Fate is small, but cute and quaint, andworth the drive. Read more

I?ve been here twice now. It has a great vibe. Food is pretty good. Great enchiladas (well chicken ones and brisket ones, cheese... okay, and mole meh). I love their chips and salsa and they have good queso. But the service has been meh both times. Not bad.Never rude. Just not very efficient. Overall I like it, but it?s not a new fave or must-go. Pablo?s is THE hottest Mexican food restaurant in this vicinity! The food, atmosphere and service make it such a great... experience. My favorite meal is the Pollo Guanajuato; fried plantains and pickled red onions make it unforgettable. Nice Mexican restaurant with a cool vibe. There was a nice bar with sports on the TVs. A hostess seats you and was ready to seat... us when we walked in. The waiter was quick to take our drink order and we had chips and salsa brought out right away. The chipswere fresh and the salsa was good. I did notice that the service was hit and miss with different wait staff. I saw one couplewait quite a while for their chips and drinks and it looked like there were about to leave. We ordered quacamole and it was verygood. The food was good but not overly great. I would probably go back and try the lunch menu. Read more
