CAME FOR NY BIRTHDAY DINNER THEY ARE POPPING TODAY !!!! TONS OF HAPPY PEOPLE!! MY WAITRESS WAS NOT ONLY AMAZINGLY AWESOME...BUT... ALSO SHE HAD THE PRETTIEST PINK HAIR!!! SHE DESERVES A RAISE... SHE WAS WAITING ON HALF OF THE RESTAURANT ALONE (for the mostpart...she was also the only person I saw other than a nice young man!) First timer here! Honestly, I'm your typical Meat and Taters kind of dude so I was not looking forward to this place. My wife... was very excited but I tried to have a good attitude... At first entrance the place was packed (always a good sign!) Hostesswas friendly and after we were seated she showed us around and offered her favorites. The menu had SO many options, while theyfocused of Italian selections like pasta, pizza and salads they also have burgers and some chicken dishes. I went with theburger. Cooked absolutely perfectly!! My wife got a Calzone that was incredible. You could tell the dough was made fresh andcould even see them tossing it in the air in the kitchen! Fun! Really good pizza. The restaurant had a large staff to provide service. We ordered "to go" and it was ready on time. I was... there five minutes early, in time for a beer at the bar. The quick service allowed me to get a cold drink and a hot pizza. Read more
I have eaten at Mellow Mushroom for 19 years now. The food and service really comes down to who is working that night. The... flavors of the pizza are great, just a matter of the person who makes it cares or not. Last time I went, I got a pizza with jerkchicken. Instead of cutting the chicken up and evenly distributing it, it was a giant chunk on each slice. The cut of the sliceswas either a slice that was a quarter of the pizza or a tiny sliver. Mellow Mushroom used to be the place to go to get thelatest craft beer to come to Knoxville. Now all the taps are macro breweries or Truly. I can definitely recommend the cheesybread. Read more
