Reviews for Historic Summit Inn Resort in Farmington, PA
The hotel staff was incredibly nice. The lobby is beautiful and the view is lovely. However, the room was very disappointing.... The wallpaper is fabric and dust adhered to it. There were chunks of dust all over the walls. The shower head is low so you hadto bend down to wash your hair and face. The room could use updating as there are cracks in the tub. Walls in bathroom arepeeling a bit which I understand can come from humidity but still should be tended too. The restaurant food was ?meh?. Not whatwe expected for the price we paid . Lastly, breakfast is a order from the chalkboard list of options. In order to get waterthere is a big cooler on the piano to use. Personally, with the historic ambience it should have been pitchers or something.Everything was just ?meh?. Nothing to come back too again. However, staff was very nice. Read more
Nina and Olivia were amazing! Super friendly and their customer service was exemplary. The outside swimming pool was clean and... we had a great time lounging around. The food was delicious and their crab cakes really are awesome. Loved the historicalaspect to the place. Overall a lovely visit. Read more
The hotel is in an incredible location and has a great view. The one mark against the location is a very busy road right out... front. Rooms are nice but an updated shower would be a great addition. Service is excellent and the hotel itself isgorgeous. Menus are VERY Gluten Free friendly. Gluten Free people can even partake of their excellent crabcakes. Read more
I was thoroughly impressed with our stay at the Historic Summit Inn. The staff was amazing and helpful. I was half expecting... the rooms to be run down from reviews I have read but we saw the insides of two rooms during our stay and both were exactly whatthey should be. eating on the Veranda was more than charming. The hotel succeeds in providing a charm of years past in feel anddecor. I would stay there again in a minute if ever traveling to southwest Pennsylvania. Read more

We spent a few nights here and have to say it was average at best. The hotel itself was kinda cool, a little run down. The pool... area was very nice and the view was very pretty. The room unfortunately was less than average. Pretty disappointing. We went thebeginning of June and couldn't believe everything closed between 7-9pm. The first night we ate at the hotel. Food was okay butfor the price we paid I expected a lot better. The second night we had to drive into Uniontown to eat because everything closedso early. We got back by 9pm and the hotel bar was closed! If you need towels you have to see the front desk, if you need to getinto the souvenir shop you need to see the front desk. Lol That was our little inside joke the whole time "see the frontdesk". On a positive note the staff were extremely nice. Read more
Love this place! A must visit if you have never been. If you come you will probably be back! Big old well maintained hotel. Lots... of history. Much attention to detail seems to be a theme! The water is spring fed . They still use keys, it's like walking intodays gone by. Please don't change a thing! Food is always good and reasonably priced. Eating on the veranda with it's amazingviews just tops off our stay! It's probably a great place to work , the staff seems pretty happy. Good luck for another 100+years. Read more
Elegant Inn, sits on a mountain. Enjoyed the veranda, very relaxing. We went in the fall. Leaves were beautiful. Sitting in... front of the fireplace with a drink. This was years ago, a good place to relax. The only drawback was it rained the whole timewe were there. Lots of places to visit nearby. Read more
