I was so excited about a new brunch place opening up and I had to give this place a try. It?s a cute little spot! I came in... around 1:30ish, it wasn?t busy at all. The waitress was very sweet and she let me know what was good to eat. I ordered abreakfast plate, eggs, hash browns and a biscuit with gravy. Simple, yes but it?s what I enjoy. Gravy was cold but other thenthat food was bomb! My mother ordered the chicken fried chicken with fried okra and a salad. She cleaned the plate and let?sjust say she is already planning to go back. If the manager has to apologize to a customer for the conduct of a table staff for a routine issue then the company's senior... management need sensitivity training. Anyway, the place is clean but the food is bland. Expected a better presentation ofStarwood Benedict but the poor sauce, dull tomatoes, avocado wedges (not slices) with the insipid hash browns and some traces ofspinach conveyed a bad choice on my part. The Veggie Skillet was presented no better but the scrambled (medium) eggs were donecorrectly. The coffee was standard fare. Read more
Walking into the building, there was a lot of natural light and the hostess was nice and inviting. My husband and I were seated... immediately and the waitress was very nice to explain the menu and her recommendations. We ordered the chicken fried steak andeggs, the all American breakfast and a side of biscuits and gravy. The chicken fried steak was well seasoned but the batter keptfalling of the steak and was slightly doughy. The all American was delicous with sour dough toast and I substituted the pancakefor a French toast and it was AMAZING!! Best French toast I have ever had anywhere...it was buttery, fluffy and had a nice crispshell. Overall, I will be back to this facility and I would recommend this place to anyone!! Read more
The location was super clean and I got seated and ordered right away. I also spoke to the owner briefly and found out they're... still family owned! I wasn't really happy with my meal mainly because my skillet was served cold and the grits are pre-saltedwhich made them saltier with the cheese..this is also a bummer for the "sugar" grits people. First let me start that Eric (our waiter) went above and beyond customer service. This guy has a heart of gold for serving and... you don?t see that anymore! I left this restaurant in ?wow? because of his amazing customer service. Food was good. Environmentwas simple and nice, clean aesthetic look. This is the best brunch restaurant I have ever been to. It?s a bit of a drive from my home but it?s well worth the trek. For... brunch I always crave both sweet and savory, so ordering a breakfast skillet (hash browns extra crispy) and waffle (also extracrispy) covered in berries hit the spot! The only thing I would ding this restaurant for is not serving a proper iced coffee.Hot coffee over ice tastes like a hot coffee over ice. I hope some day they introduce a cold brew!
