Absolutely loved our experience at Roots! Every single dish was incredible and the flavors were off the charts. Many people... around us got the family style fried chicken but we figured that would be too much for 3 people and we wanted to try too manyother things. The ONLY critique I have is that I wish the inside atmosphere was a bit ?warmer? and darker - all 3 of usseparately thought it could have felt a little cozier to be just perfect, but the tall white walls were making it feel a bitcommercial/sterile - we still absolutely loved it and will be back! This place is amazing! It?s pricey for sure but I?d say worth every penny. We went as a large group for my company and ordered a... lot of stuff. The deviled eggs, shrimp and grits, and bacon wraps were outstanding. For my meal I got the lamb chops and theywere fabulous! To cap finish the dinner I got and espresso martini. Very good as well. A restaurant worth placing a reservation for. All food was well made and tasty. I will say that I thought the fried chicken was... a bit over hyped. I would have much rather tried more entrees instead of that. But it wasn?t bad ! My gripe with is was mostlystruggling with the bones when I just wanted to eat. That?s why 4/5 instead of 5/5. Drinks and desserts were delicious. Thepotato dumplings are a must have side! The pasta entre we got was great. Food was delicious. Red Fish was cooked very nicely and flavor was awesome. Had the Persimmon Tiger cocktail and it was very... nice as well. Duck Confit pasta was also pretty good. Will definitely need to come back and try some of the other dishes. Read more

Everything about this place is amazing. The food was wonderful and Tiffany stopped and chatted with our table but I didn't want... to seem star struck so I dared not ask for a photo (I should have because she is my hands down favorite Top Chef!!). She is thesweetest and you can definitely taste the southern roots in every bite of food. We had ZERO complaints! We sat in the patio andit was nice, the scenery was good and had a good breeze. My Mom picked this place for her birthday dinner and since I had never heard of it, I was just going where she wanted. Let me... tell you, the food & cocktails were absolutely delicious and extremely well made!! I already want to go again to try the Duckfat fried Chicken. Cooper was our server and he was amazing!! My family and I had the greatest culinary experience at this wonderful restaurant. Our server Chloe was extremely knowledgeable... about the menu. We had an array of items from the menu, ranging from the Shrimp and Grits, the Cornbread, the Oxtail Pasta, theDuck Fat Fried Chicken and the Short Ribs. Everything was wonderful.
