I feel bad for writing this review because I want to support local business and want them to thrive? but this place has GOT to... up their game to compete with the other bbq places in the area?. Not worth it. Over priced for what you get. The ribs were smallwith very little meat. The brisket was thin and dry. The sausage had a different flavor, which I liked, but it was dry too. Thebbq sauce had an okay flavor but was too watery. The macaroni salad was good. The okra was okay. The peach cobbler was prettygood but it was not what I?m used to. It was very sugary and cinnamony. A little too mushy. The banana pudding was blah. Ifyou?re looking for a good plate of BBQ to hit the spot and knock your craving - keep looking. Read more
Outstanding! One of the best BBQ places I have been to since I moved to Texas. Customer service was excellent! Fried Okra to... die for, ribs fall off the bone, smoked sausage couldn't stop eating it. Brisket had a beautiful smoke ring, not to much fat.Just a great experience and will be coming many times. We ate here for the first time today and were surprised that it was rated 4.4 stars. I gave 2 stars because at 6pm on a Saturday... the food looked like it was leftover from lunch. The brisket was dry and without flavor and the salad looked brown around theedges. The coleslaw was a touch too sweet but still tasty. The best thing from dinner was the sausage that had a great smokedflavor. Read more
My peeps (no & no). It's just ok and very bland. You have to season the meat with Lawry's or Salt to enjoy it. If you order a 2... meat combo order 2 lol. The portions were very skimpy and I've never seen brisket sliced as thin as paper. Ribs were 3 piecesthat was 1 rib cut in half and the other was 1/3. Brisket came in 5 pieces - 1 full slice of brisket thin as paper cut into 3and a 1/3rd piece. The best part about my visit was the cashier with the glasses. His energy & vibe is amazing. He nailscustomer service! The bbq sauce is the bomb & this place is spotless when it comes to cleanliness. I would not recommend unlessyour desperate. It's equivalent to a Luby's in the bbq area. To my fellow melanated folks, this ain't it. Peach cobbler is weird...a mix of mush and some kinda of crust with too much... cinnamon. More like a peach bread pudding. Ribs are bland and do not fall off bone. The sausage was decent. Baked beans tastesour. The potato salad was decent. Better after I added paprika and salt. I'm just glad it didn't have raisins. This is notFUBU. And surely tastes like it. Gave 2 stars because the tea was good. Read more
They have really good BBQ. Best peach cobbler I have tasted, not so good at costumer service the last time I went but they... weren't rude either just they could be friendlier. The cashier was really friendly though. I would have given 5 stars if Ididn't get such a cold feeling from the people taking my order. Read more
Friendly service and pretty good BBQ. The disappointment was the mac and cheese and BBQ backed beans. I got the mixed meat and... ribs. I can say that the ribs were just ok. They missed that smokiness and taste. The other meats are pretty good. From whatI could see the place was clean and for what was going on today the distancing was being done. I do like the decor in therestaurant, it give you that old Texas feel. Read more
We came in for lunch about 2:30ish last Thursday! Ordered a baked potato but they were not ready! So they hooked us up with... "loaded" mashed potatoes in a big ole bowl! Wow!
