Good food but lackluster service. I sat at the bar, and it was like I was invisible. I was offered something to drink after a... few minutes, but wasn?t offered a food menu, so I had to catch the bartender?s attention again to ask for one. The menu waspaper, which is fine, but it looked like someone had been sitting on it. I finished my drink, and waited, waited, and finallyhad to push it out forward and catch someone?s attention for a refill. I finished my food, and my plate sat there for severalminutes. I put my napkin on it and moved it to the side, and it still sat there for another 10 minutes before someone finallytook it away. No one asked if I wanted anything else for a while, until a few minutes after I?d finished my second drink, and bythen I just wanted the check. I?d been considering getting a dessert but lost interest. There were several people millingaround behind the bar talking, and even directly in front of me doing things, without offering me service or checking in on howI was doing. Had a great double date dinner at the Boiler Room! We shared the Scotch eggs appetizer after hearing all the great reviews. They... were crispy and delicious! Also tried the shrimp pasta which was light and flavorful. I asked if they could surprise my husbandwith a dessert for his birthday and they gave us the Angel Food french toast! It was outstanding.
