This place is the absolute best. The food? Delicious. The staff? Incredibly kind and accommodating. The surrounds? Beautiful... Rockaway Beach? Grab a table outside and get into it. We ordered pickup brunch. It was prepared quickly, the packaging was perfect, and the food was fresh and delicious. Can?t wait... to come back next time we?re in Rockaway! An intimate establishment - the food and staff at this beach-side diner meets chic decorated southern cuisine is on the spot. ... Excellent breakfast spot to hit before or after the beach. We have been to Bernadette?s before and we ordered eggs Benedict and... the Korean spare rib hash. All very delicious however the Korean hash is a huge portion and comes with a lot of meat sausagessplitting that or getting something a little lighter if you don?t eat heavy breakfast. Ice coffee is excellent and the orangejuice is fresh squeezed so I highly recommend trying that. This time we ordered the fried chicken and waffles and eggs Benedictthat came with a side of salad. I have to say the fried chicken was amazing. It didn?t taste too oily and it didn?t feel tooheavy it was very crispy and the breading was very flavorful. The waffle was awesome it was very crispy and light andcomplemented the syrup really well. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Probably one of my favorite spots in Rockaway.They also have lunch with burgers and tacos but we haven?t had the chance to try it I bet they?re great. Will be going back formore. And they have outdoor seating a few tables inside for indoor seating if you have your vaccination card. And you can get itto go. If you were in Rockaway and get off at the bus stop or drive through here highly recommend trying out Bernadette?s. Itwill not disappoint. Read more
Order outside even if you are dinning inside. I decided to grab brunch here and the food is delicious. This place is very busy... and the staff is nonstop. I ordered the Korean short rib hash and it was fantastic. I wish I had room to try their waffles. Alsowish the service was better. No decaf coffee yet they didn't even offer me water when I sat inside. Kinda disappointed that Itipped so high and glad I brought my own water. Read more
I always pass this place until a very good friend told me to try their burger. So I called place my order for a cheese burger... and ask what was in the meat. The guy said... oxtail........ there are other meat in the patty but oxtail was all I heard. I gotto admit it was damn good! Happy Jack got competition. Read more
When we were driving on Rockaway Beach Blvd, we were attracted by Bernadette?s exterior green & adorable wall. We stopped by and... gave their brunch a try. We had their Duck Benedict and Chicken & Waffles to share between two people. The portion was decentwith reasonable price. The food was overall delicious, especially the fried chicken which was juicy & flavorful. The duck was alittle dry but the pouched eggs were perfectly cooked. Read more
