My family and I have dined at Glass Onion numerous times over the years. Not only is this one of the best restaurants in Cape... Cod, hands down, it is also one of the best restaurants I?ve ever dined at in my life. The milieu is calm, lovely, and clean. The furnishings are beautiful and thoughtful and it?s certainly a, ?fine dining vibe.? The owners are the sweetest and kindestpeople. They are extremely welcoming, accommodating and always ensure every guest has an incredible experience. I have nevereaten anything at Glass Onion that I didn?t love. The salad is so fresh and always made with local ingredients, soups are soflavorful and all of their dishes are carefully curated and executed. We love their cocktail and wine lists too - excellentselections. Highly recommend if you?re in the area!! Read more

Fun experience at The Glass Onion. The desserts and drinks were very tasty. The entrees were good. Nice atmosphere.

This was my first time at the Glass Onion and we won't be back. The atmosphere lacks any kind of warmth and the host was not at... all engaging. I will say that the food was good but not worth the 45-50$ a meal. Also they sat us in the parking lot out back.Seems strange a fine dinning restaurant would do such a thing. Service and experience are clearly not a top priority. There aretoo many good restaurants in the area to consider going back. Read more

Intimate ambiance with excellent service. We went over the weekend with my wife and daughter, so we all tasted everything that... was ordered. We all ordered differnt wines from their extensive list. I had the butternut squash soup, which was the best Iever had. My wife and daughter had the brased pork bellly, which was also good. For entrees my wife had the seafood rissotowhich was very tasty. I had the pecan crusted swordfish, which wasn't the freshest and a bit salty for my taste. And mydaughter had the filet mignon which she enjoyed, but again was a bit salty for me. For desert we shared the chocolate mousseand a variety of sorbets, which were the perfect endings. The menu was not marked with GF for Gluten Free and I thought that Iwas versed in ordering, but I am sure that I ingested a lot of wheat that evening. Lastly the difference between a goodrestaurant and a GREAT restaurant is offering Gluten Free Bread. How difficult is it to go to Stop & Shop and buy frozen"Udi's" hamburger buns and "Against the Grain" dinner rolls? Microwave as needed. According to our server, a lot of peoplerequest GF, but evidently management is too busy to listen? The Glass onion lost a star for serving not-the-freshest swordfishand salty entrees and they lost another star for not being Gluten friendly (menu, bread). Read more

I had not been to the Glass Onion in 10 years and my wife and I thought we would give it a try again. From the moment you walk... in it seems to be missing a vibe that I would think most people want these days. I am not sure if the lack of background musicbut the dining room feels void of a personality. It seems like a restaurant from back in the 80's that just never changed. Asfar as the experience is concerned it was not very good. We waited over 1/2 hr for appetizers and thought they would provide usa glass of wine or bread (you have to pay for bread after the first portion). We asked as it was not offered, and the waitresslooked like we asked her for a free meal but she agreed to provide us with "free bread". It never showed up and by the time shecame back we gave up on the free bread. I had a steak which was tasty but delivered lukewarm. By the time it came back at theproper temperature everyone else was done eating. I was educated as to why this steak should be served lukewarm. I don't thinkso. It was tasty when served at the proper tempature. The scallop dish was also tasty but it was an extremely small portionfor $40 with 4 scallops. While the food is not bad, it's not great and worth the prices they charge. Given our experience andthe fact no one offered us a drink, bread or a dessert shows they really don't care about the dining experience. We will nevergo back as there are so many other better choices in town. Read more

Everything was amazing. We started with a couple of festive Rub-a-dub-dub drinks, and the delightful Cucumber G&T. Then we had... the Summer Squash Fennel Soup, Gazpacho, Shrimp w Avocado Ice Cream, & The Lobster Strudel, all incredible. For entrees we hadthe Scallops, Filet Mignon, Seafood Risotto, Swordfish, and the Halibut Special, all fantastic, perfectly accompanied by theUltimate Provence Rose. And we finished with the Blueberry Shortcake, and Coffee, Mint Chip, and Maple Pecan Ice Creams, whichare all absolutely the best ice cream I've ever had anywhere. Really, an absolutely perfect Tuesday evening. Read more

For the price, I expected really delicious food and it just wasn?t. I got the ratatouille and it wasn?t traditional, it was like... not completely baked chunks of eggplant and zucchini cooked in a stew sauce. It wasn?t good. I also had the chilled cucumbersoup. Everything I ate just wasn?t delicious and I needed bread to soak up the? flavor. Read more

Wonderful! The owner was there and chatted with our table. He was very gracious! Limited menu as they have just reopened. My... seafood risotto was excellent! The shrimp and lobster tasted so fresh! Read more
