My first visit met my expectations. I had the brown stewed chicken which was very good. I could have just used two spoon fulls... more of gravy, but otherwise was great! We also had the escovitch snapper which was delish. It was a cool 40 minute drive butworth the time for the flavor! Read more

Went here to grab a quick lunch and was really happy with my choice. I got the small jerk wings, which was hot hot like the menu... says but definitely not lacking in flavor. The portion was a great size for lunch. I would have loved to have a bit more cabbageand less rice. I will be back though! Read more

Honestly if you?re actually from Jamaica I would avoid the oxtail. I hope it was a bad day. However, I have no intention of... finding out. Oxtail was poorly coloured and tasted undercooked, a lot of black pepper and not much else. The rice was soggy, andtasted undercooked. Sadly I was missing Jamaica as I am up here traveling for work. On this day September 20, 2022 @6:50pm theseoxtails were not it. ???? ???? Read more

Reasonably priced and healthy portions. Recommend avoiding too many similar flavor profile food though because it does tend to... get a bit salty (lots of flavors in everything). Jamaican beef patties are a must before, compliment your meal, or take home. Read more

Stopped here for lunch and it didn't disappoint! I had the ziggy wings and oxtails, rice and peas and cabbage. Everything was... flavorful. I wasn't crazy about the cabbage but overall I loved the food. Great customer service too! Read more

Best Jerk Wings I?ve ever eaten. The meat was so tender that it was falling off the bone. The brown stew chicken and curry... chicken was amazing as well. I highly recommend this place!! Read more

Just moved to area and was looking for real yaardie food. Delighted to find this place close by. And thanks for surviving Covid... to stay open. Extensive menu with great "authentic sounding" choices. So many dishes looked delicious, so I ordered the sampleplate. Looking at the menu, everything seems "pricey" but on arrival, was good sized portion. ALOT of rice, but a little skimpyon the curried goat & oxtails. Fair sample portions of curried chicken, brown stew & jerk chicken. What I really liked was theplantains were very nicely cooked (not burnt), and even in the take out packaging, was nicely presented. The food was good, butas I'm a Jamaican, I thought it needed more ..oomph....spice. it was nicely seasoned and it did taste nice, but rather bland. And, yes. Menu is pricey, too expensive to be a daily or even weekly choice....but to satify a craving for a taste of theislands, would definitely have some again. Read more

Boomars and myself early dinner trying carribbien. Place is rather small. Some tables inside. Clean, and fun decorations. Good... Caribbean music. First time having Caribbean food which I enjoyed andvwill be back. I tried the Sample platter which consistedof curry chicken, ziggy wings, jerk wings, oxtail and goal and 2 sides. I had the coleslaw and rice and peas. We also had thepan fried snapper (whole fish), crispy flavorful. We ordered a jerk chicken meal pie and a beef pie. Every was well seasonedand delicious. The curry chicken was delicious, a different curry not spicy. Not like an Indian curry or Japanese curry. Verygood. I loved the jerk chicken wings. These had a little spice and a little mire kick. The ziggy wings were good more on thesweeter side but very good. The oxtail is really good. Not a lot of meat but flavorful. I enjoyed the goal Read more
