Our original server was good so props to him. But the rest of the service was lacking (forgetting to give us the little paper to... order from, thrice). The fish fillet was super stale (as in frozen for so long and then thawed very quickly) and meat was drybut the spicy soup used proper Sichuan flavors. Read more
The Xinjiang Chicken with Potato I got was awful. The potato was probably in the refrigerator for too long and it already tasted... sour. The dish was unexpectedly spicy and the waiter didn’t even ask me how spicy I wanted it to be. Xinjiang cuisine is notusually spicy so when it turned out that spicy- it’s unexpected. My first time here and I had a very good spicy (ma la) hot pot buffet. There were a lot of peppercorns in it- so numbing and... good! I added mushrooms, bok choy (bai cai), blood, noodles, fish balls, pork, and some other things. I will be back to get thesame thing again! Also, the service was excellent. Read more
I understand it is a difficult time for this restaurant, they only had two waiters working when I was there yesterday, and the... restaurant was almost full. I talked to the owner about it, she told me that she couldn't find anyone to work there because noone wanted to work during Covid. But the waiters came and checked on me regularly, and made sure my water cup was always full, Ifelt welcomed and comfortable at this place. Lastly, try their signature dishes Bamboo fish and Crispy chicken, they tasted thesame as the ones I had in China. The worst hot pot I have ever eaten before. I'm very disappointed about this restaurant. The meat of the buffet is frozen and... there's nothing in the soup. It's just like water.
