Colossal Cafe is Vegetarian & Vegan friendly! It's not just "grilled cheese /Plain eggs " either! Colossal Cafe Should... Definitely be at the top of every vegetarian/ vegans list of places to go! My partner & I decided to order take out forBreakfast & saw Wild Mushroom biscuits & Gravy & we were all in! I also ordered a side of hash browns & side order of fruit! Theportions are larger than other restaurants & We opted to put half our biscuits to the side for later.(only half the biscuit ispictured same with the gravy) The biscuits are scratch made & baked to perfection. The vegetarian Wild Mushroom gravy blew ourminds! Seasoned beautifully & taste Amazing! We opted for scrambled eggs cooked well done with Cheddar cheese. Their Hash brownsare what I wish for every time I order Hash browns but rarely get. They weren't too salty & they weren't plain either. Theypaired well with the gravy , with the eggs or on their own! I ordered a side of fruit & was surprised to see such an amazingvariety. Banana slices, blueberries, grapes, cantaloupe, pineapple & strawberries all topped with a thick slice of a very freshorange! Every piece of fruit was edible. (Which in my experience never happens) This was our first time here so I can't speak totheir consistency but I will update here after we've tried them a few more times! A major plus in our household is the use ofbiodegradable containers for take away & to see that colossal Cafe is partaking in that shouldn't be overlooked! Hurry go checkout this amazing hotspot! This place takes reservations for big groups but when I went the AC was blasting so I ended up putting on a sweater. Display of... the food looks great but the flappers were very doughy as if it was undercooked. Biscuits and gravy was ok, biscuits are reallybig and filling so it could possibly be split by 2 people. Service was just so so, our server kept forgetting things and no onereally came by to refill our water. There is street parking or else they have a little parking lot next to the gas station. We shared a cinnamon roll to start. It was served warm and was excellent. The breakfast meals were all well done. This is a... great place to stop for breakfast. I don't think we all will need to eat for the rest of the day! Read more

Fantastic breakfast. My mom ordered the Colossal Breakfast Lite, and I ordered the regular Colossal Breakfast. My bacon was nice... and crisp, the eggs and hash browns were nice and crisp. My mom's scrambled eggs were great with the extra cheese and avocado onthe side. The biscuits are super thick and hearty, and the strawberry jam is perfect with them. The pancakes (flappers) are alsodelicious and so filling. Read more

Huge portions, friendly service, and fun atmosphere. We waited for awhile to be seated, but it was totally worth it. The... biscuits were scrumptious, and the pancake was so fluffy! A great weekend brunch spot in St Paul. Read more

We ordered breakfast. Parts of it were good. Other portions were not great. The eggs were well prepared and very good. The bacon... was good, but not the best I've had. The sourdough toast was excellent and I recommend you order it if you like sourdough. Thegluten free toast might have been good but they but the burnt it - like charcoal brick burned. Similarly, the hash browns weredone very well on top, and that part tastes good, but they must have never flipped them because they were raw and greasy on thebottom. Inconsistent is the best way I can describe the meal. Read more

Came across this gem of a breakfast/lunch spot. Easy to find on a corner, people seemed nice, a few outdoor tables, realistic... options looked really good but I was picking up a Cuban sandwich. It was really good! Bread was soft but edges were crusty. Thepork had delicious burnt ends to them and the mustard had a small kick and made the sandwich moist all the way through. One ofthe best things I've had in the area! Read more
