Have eaten many fish sandwiches over the years and this one ranks in the top 10. Entire filet of white fish a foot long,... battered and deep fried to a crunchy golden brown served on a hoagie roll with lettuce, tarter sauce, and a side of fries and apickle. Better be hungry to finish this monster catch. Once again the fish sandwich rocked the boat. Prices have increased onmany menu items. Do not get the french fries unless you like a oily limp undercooked over seasoned warm pile of grease. Read more
I would like to express my sincere thanks for having an old time down home diner, with food you can actually be proud of. The... food is freshly prepared and,for instance the hamburgers are handmade and not this flat piece of cardboard. I dined there lastThursday and had the special which was the turkey dinner and it was closing time but it was great, the turkey they gave me washuge and i mean just like at Thanksgiving delicious. It came with mashed potatoes and greenbeans and gravy. The only thingmissing was the stuffing and cranberries. Its very hard to find diners like this anymore and we will definately be making thetrip to Fairfield again often. One more thing. I loved the train experience too!! Read more

Lindenwald Station is the best family diner that I've ever eaten! The waitresses are outstanding, very, very nice, it's like... eating with friends and family. The owners are also really, really nice they make sure that you get everything you ordered hotand fresh and very fast when bringing out your food. I love the goetta, ham, hash browns and best of all the Denver omelet! Iwould rate this diner a 20 if possible, you can take your Frisch's, IHOP, Bob Evans and Perkins and just forget about all ofthem, nothing comes even close! The Chili is excellent with the taste somewhere in between Cincinnati and Texas style; leaning more towards Texas style. I have... to say it's in my top 5 Chili. The fries are excellent however be warned they do put fresh black pepper on them. Now for theburgers the toppings On the BL Burger and mushroom Swiss burgers excellent. The buns where very nice too. However they used apre-made frozen patty that tasted like Bubba burger. The frozen patty kills the burger but the other ingredients freshness andquality carried it a lil. Recommend yah skip the burger and try another item atleast until they start using a standard1/4 or 1/3rd pound portion patty that is pressed on the flat top. Read more
I have never, ever, in my many, many travels across this great country ever seen any restaurant actually WASH THE CONDIMENT... BOTTLES! I took a photo as proof that it can happen! It makes SO much of a difference!!! Food was great, service was great andwe are a Blacksican family, so no being treated diff for color. Great first time visit. Will be back. Read more
