Reviews for Tony's NY Pizza in Fairfax, VA

I'm not sure why this place gets such high reviews from locals considering there is much better around. I ordered delivery from... here a few months ago and got a pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese. Aside from taking longer than quoted and being cold whenit arrived, if that pizza was an example of what extra cheese is at that shop then I would hate to see what the regular amountis. I have gone in a couple times while with a friend and gotten the meatball sub, which was decent. That is the only reasonI'm not rating it one star. But the reason I will never eat here again happened today. My husband and I ordered via Uber Eatsfor lunch. I got a chicken parm sub and he got a calzone. The sub was fine although it had clearly sat for awhile. But look atthis sad tiny calzone my husband received. Note, this is a 10 inch pizza box. He was bummed because he hadn't eaten yet todayand I felt so bad for suggesting this place that I offered to get him ice cream after. Never again. Read more

If you're going into this thinking, "a chef will prepare my food. It will be expertly crafted by a new York chef." You're... wrong. I wanted pizza crafted by some guy who thinks he knows what he's doing, but has no clue, under the direction of someonewho does. I got a pizza that showed a lack of experience with fine ingredients, but someone who knows what tastes good. I couldgo in there and show their pizza cook how to use anchovies, because I guarantee he doesn't know . . . But that's okay. This isexactly the kind of pizza I wanted. I am a customer who always goes to this place when looking to buy pizza, their pizza is tasty but today I ordered 4 garlic bread... and it seems that they took it out of the refrigerator and heated it and that is how they sold it to me it was completely hardwhen I tried to eat it I had to throw it in the trash so my children wouldn't eat it I'm not looking to ruin their reputationbut it's not okay that they ruin my day especially when it's food for my family please the next time you sell something pleaseknow what you're doing because to the customer the food is not delivered as thinking that we are ignorant we are the consumers Read more

After viewing pictures of the pizzas on the reviews I decided to give this place a try since I'm visiting the area and it looked... like they didn't skimp out on ingredients like other places. Not a great decision. I got the 16 inch half & half NY with meatlovers on one side and Tony's special on the other. As you can see the pizza I got is definitely not worth $25. I feelcheated. I'm dissapointed that you can look at this picture and say it is how your pizzas should be. If you take a second lookat the picture you will see that except for a few pepperoni the rest of the ingredients are in a 2 inch circle around the centeron a 16 inch pizza. This means that in terms of surface area, more than half the pizza is missing ingredients. That is calledskimping regardless of how the market is trending. Read more

Good pizza but I had some sea food pasta(broken clam shells) which is pretty normal, guess I could have just stuck with pizza?.

Ordered some takeout for New Years Eve while quarantining. Ordering online was rather seamless and offered many ways to... customize. Delivery time was 25 minutes and delivery person was cordial and pleasant. Wings were crispy. Fries reminded me onthose I would eat at school (in a good way). Special half of pizza tasted fresh, and the meat half of the pizza had goodflavors. I also ate cannolis which tasted good as well. I could eat here again if I got a pizza craving. Read more

This pizza place lives up to the hype. The fries were extra crisp, fresh, and super warm right out of the frier. I got the... artichoke veggie pizza and the crust was really good which is important for a good pizza. This is easily some of the best pizzain the area and that's saying a lot from a person who's got family is in NYC. Read more
