Interesting concept and they were very accommodating to what you prefer but my ?strawberry pancakes? were kind of burnt so it... was just okay to me. There was no strawberry flavor and doughy. This dessert was okay. I?ve never tried mini puff pancakes so I didn?t know what to expect. They were closing when we tried to... place an order but they had orders that were already made but no one wanted so we went with the options they had left. I don?tremember what flavor combination the pancake had but it tasted better when I ate the whole thing at once instead of taking abite of the pancake itself. It's worth trying if you are ok to wait 10-15 mins. We got the apple crumble flavor which was delicious. It had a puffy exterior... and gooey interior with diced apples cooked to the right texture. The toppings were awesome too. I'd highly recommend it toanyone who likes desserts. Read more
Although it is an interesting idea, I was super disappointed. The 10-15 minute wait to have the dessert cook to order was... definitely not worth it. The dessert had little taste (regardless what it was stuffed with) the chocolate dipping sauce was verytasty. If you are into pancake/cookie batter taste and consistency, you might enjoy it more. I absolutely LOVED this place. The 15-minute wait was WORTH. So yummy, got to sit in the corner and read my book peacefully.... Poffy is a MUST for anyone who is in Fairfax. Also, who doesn't love their CUTE penguin logo. Will definitely come back! Read more
We have always passed by this place and meant to stop by and finally got around to it today on my daughter's birthday. Boy are... we glad we did! The puffy pancakes were delicious and the people so nice. They even added little decorations to my daughter'scontainer, which made her day. Will definitely be coming here whenever we're in the Mosaic. Read more
Amazing little spot for a pleasurable treat! I don?t know how to describe these little desserts other than puffed up mini... decadent pancakes. They had the Choc Sacher as a sample and we were hooked right away. It was a puffed pancake ball withchocolate inside, jam spread on the outside along with a blackberry and a blueberry. We bought six and they are much larger thanthe sample size! Three were to be eaten immediately (no picture because they didn?t last more than 10 seconds and it was toodark for a picture) and the three pictured were wrapped to go. They have many choices, as you can see from the menu, and I?msure they are all delicious. Do yourself a favor and buy these after dinner. It takes about 10-15 min to prepare, but there isplenty to walk around and see in the area and there are hula hoops on the wall ready for use as well as a few benches.
