Straight up do not come here. I absolutely did not have a good experience here. I had two orders, manchuria chicken and chili... chicken, and they both tasted exactly the same and tasteless. To make matters worse, they don?t even have hot sauce on the side(I asked and the server said that they don?t have it). If you put both orders next to each other, you wouldn?t be able to tellthe difference. I?ve had better frozen foods of the exact same orders than what I have had here. The presentation of the foodalso could have been the same as what you get out of a frozen tv dinner or something. Just look at the picture! I truly feltlike I wasted $30 here. Picked up chicken65. Test was awful and there was no curry leaves and chicken were old. I will never ever go back again.
First time ordering from Masala Wok and was a little disappointed. I ordered the Biryani 65, Garlic Naan, Ras Malai, Gulub... jamun, and raita. The biryani was absolutely disappointing; it tasted like regular fried rice with pieces of spicy tandoorchicken on top. The garlic naan was tough to chew. The ras malai don't even get me started on that. I was expecting the rasmalai with white cream not the rasa malei with the yellowish cream. TLDR: this location has taken a nosedive in terms of quality of food and I would not recommend visiting here. My family and I... have been frequenting Masala Wok at Fairfax ever since it opened. During the early days the food was amazing, and the pricematched the portion size, which was sufficient. Extras included hot pickles, free lemon water, etc. In recent days, the foodhas no flavor, the quantity has decreased, and the price increased, the soda machine is gone, and no condiments areavailable. In my most recent visit I got a chicken 65 meal, which I used to absolutely love from this place. What I got wasred-colored chicken without any spices or flavor. It didn?t even have any curry leaves! Needs A Bit More. Almost there in flavors. Beautiful Presentation though. Ordered the Spinach Masala. But the flavors were... just not there. But for a fast food it's OK. A bit expensive due to not having a bang in flavors. It's a simple dish, but Ihave tasted some Masala dishes that have made me go DAM, THAT'S GOOD! This one was "Well, that's ok." So disappointing! Chicken tasted old. Hakka style dishes had no flavor and the taste of old chicken was obvious. Curry with lamb... was mediocre. Rice was off and without flavor. For dine-in there was a single napkin holder at the back of the restaurant whereit was dark. Apparently the utensils are also back there. Read more
