Reviews for Alta Strada in Fairfax, VA
Our service was great. The waitress was attentive. The food came out in a timely manner. We tried both bruschettas of the day.... My favorite was the cod fish. It reminded me of eating salt fish back in the Caribbean. Our meals were good as well. I tried thePenne a la Vodka with shrimp. It was plentiful with shrimp and a-little spicy. I wish the menu would have said that. It’s notunbearable spicy but I needed to drink my water frequently while eating. The Baked Ziti was yummy per my friend. Another friendtried the Lasagna Bolognese and he didn’t like it. It lacked flavor. Our server switched it out for another meal with nohesitation. We had a great experience. There’s a lot of parking available via the garages as well. Read more
First time here, overall I was very impressed. I could swim endlessly in a bowl of fettuccini topped with their garlic bread. I... smothered myself with delicious cheesecake and washed my pallet with a liter of sangria. Peace Love Pasta. Read more
My group of three got two appetizers-shrimp scampi and the mussels. I recommend trying the mussels! For the entree we got the... Fettuccini, Margherita Pizza(no toppings), and the Penne allá vodka pasta! The portions were big enough to have a bit ofleftovers. The pastas were good and the pizza bread center was thin while the crust was more on the softer side. The pizza was abit salty for my taste but everything else was tasty!! *kitchen gave us garlic bread on the house :) Read more
Pretty good. Had the salmon dish. Pizza was ok... not terrible or out of this world. Very nice and accommodating staff.... Multiple people kept checking on us to be sure all was well, which is a great customer service. Read more
Wonderful Spaghetti APO. The tomato sauce was very light and the meatballs were like butter. Best Italian food I've had in NOVA... so far. Pricey, but portions are good and it's in Mosaic so it is what it is. I'm no Italian food expert though. Read more
Over cooked the chicken and garlic bread. Went back and the food was completely inedible. Could not chew the garlic bread nor... the grilled bread they brought out to replace the garlic bread. The baked ziti with meat sauce the meat sauce was really ameatball that was broken up but not really. Read more
The food is pretty standard for Mosaic- just alright, nothing special. A lot of Italian places feel the same to me, it’s a bit... hard to wow me with Italian food. It’s still pretty decent though and the staff was super friendly to us when we went. Thecalamari was pretty tasty, but the spaghetti I ordered was probably something I could have just made myself at home. If I wereto come here again, I would try the chicken parm. I saw some pictures and it looks like a pretty big portion and very tasty. Sooverall, the food is just alright Read more
The server Amanda was amazing and very professional. However, The food was awful, no taste at all. Alfredo fettuccini was like... water not Alfredo sauce. The garlic bread, it is something else.. Not a lot of choices and no taste. No Italian food. RedSangria was not sangria ( anyway, I am complaining only about the food not the customer service or the restaurant atmosphere wasfine) please find a better chef and tweak your menu and have some tasteful food. I was so ?? disappointed. Thanks Read more
